Got a call from someone saying they were from British Gas but they couldn’t really back it up when I asked. I put them on hold and they just ended the call. Definitely seemed dodgy to me.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Scottish and Southern Electric. They had some info about us but couldn't say our address properly. Since we don’t use SSE, I asked who they were with, but they just hung up when I wouldn’t give details. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Absolute scam, claimed to be British Gas at first. When I told him he wasn’t, he started arguing with me. I ended the call, but he rang back saying he was from some "central investigations department." I didn’t hesitate to tell him exactly where to stick his phone.

Someone rang me saying they were from an electric firm, but when I asked which one, they said British Gas. The moment I told them I wasn’t a customer, they just cut the call straight away.
