To my astonishment, he had my abbreviated name and address all sorted. He proceeded to inform me that someone named Mohammed, based in London, had attempted to make a transaction that had subsequently been blocked. He then inquired whether I had recently visited London. The caller insisted that I needed to address this issue promptly, or else he couldn't assure the security of my account if he didn’t send out a new card. Once I raised a few doubts about his credibility, he mentioned he would send a confirmation text. At that point, I chose to end the conversation and contacted Chase directly using the number in my app. They confirmed that no one had reached out to me from their end and that my account was perfectly secure. Clearly, this was nothing more than a scam.Chase BankMohammedLondonChase2 yearsI've received a call from someone purporting to be from my bank, attempting to gather information about my other bank accounts and the like.
