Got a call from someone claiming to be from Bank of Scotland saying there was an attempt to arrange a direct debit from my account. I said wait a minute while my husband phoned the bank, since it’s a joint account. The caller insisted he had all the info I needed but I was firm about checking with the bank first - and guess what? He just cut the call!!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Santander. They asked how much money I had in my account after I told them I’d accidentally clicked on a dodgy Evri email. It was pretty clear they were fishing for my balance to probably rob me! I didn’t hang about and cancelled my card straight away.
