some creep rang my nan claiming she was due some cash. when she said she wasn’t interested, he started threatening her and told her to f**k off. then another call came through asking why she ended the call. i tried ringing the number back, but a foreign voice answered and hung up as soon as i asked who it was. watch out, total idiots!

I’ve been a victim of these individuals who took my money without a second thought. I’m keen to retrieve what’s rightfully mine and ensure that they can’t pull the same stunt on anyone else.

My partner got a call from 0203290219 saying they had a cheque for him. He let the bloke talk a bit then just hung up. That cheeky sod called back asking why he ended the call! I picked up the phone the second time and told him I'd be reporting him to trading standards and action fraud.

My dad got a call from 02032902019, and they said they’d send a person over with a cheque if we gave them cash vouchers. When he asked questions, they got really rude. We rang 101 to report it, and then they told us to contact Action Fraud on 03002322040. This is totally a scam, taking advantage of people who are easy targets.

Some bloke named Jacob Williams rang me up saying he was him or something, and that I supposedly owe £3400 in bank fees. Said a cheque was on its way within a couple of hours. Then asked if I could get some cash vouchers for £340. He seemed proper clued up, even knew all the Payzone places near me, like the co-op and petrol stations. Sounded really believable but don’t fall for it! The number he called from was 02032902019.

They keep ringing my mum, who’s 67, saying she’s due £3400, but first she has to pay 10% with Ukash vouchers to get the cheque. The police are looking into it, yet they still manage to call her like 6 times every hour.

Just got a call from someone pretending to be solicitors saying i was getting a cheque for £3400 in the next couple hours for some overpaid bank fees - total rubbish and a scam if you ask me. They wanted me to send 10% of £2400 in ukash vouchers first, as some kind of "fee". I told them do i look daft and then ended the call.

Beware of this scam where they claim someone will show up within a couple of hours with a cheque, saying it’s to cover old bank fees. They then tell you to pop down to the local Co-op and buy UKash vouchers. Totally dodgy, don’t fall for it, especially if youre older!

I got a few calls from someone claiming to be from the ministry of justice saying I owed £3400 because of some overcharged bank fees. They said they'd send a cheque and that I had to hand over 10% in vouchers to them. I told them it sounded dodgy and hung up straight away. I checked the number using 1471 and it was private. I've reported it to the police now.

My sister got tricked into handing over £500 because they promised a cheque worth more than £6,000 to cover some bank fees. She’s quite vulnerable, and they really took advantage of that.
