Got a call from someone pretending to be the Halifax Fraud Department, claiming there were dodgy charges on my credit card. I’d already spoke to the real Halifax Fraud Team last week about the card which had been blocked, and I’d even got my replacement card by then - but this bloke seemed clueless about that 😂. When I questioned why he was talking about the old cancelled card, he just ended the call. The caller said his name was Jacab Deane. Checked with Halifax on Twitter and they confirmed it was a scam. Watch out for this!
