I received an email from a gmail address saying I’d been charged for some Norton subscription, which I knew was rubbish. I rang the number they gave but ended up talking to some sketchy guy who kept pushing me to “complete an online form” to cancel it. I told him I suspected it was a scam and then he just dropped the call on me...

Got a message claiming to be from HMRC saying I'd be arrested for tax fraud if I didn't send money. Sounded really dodgy to me. I just blocked the number straight away - definitely a scam! Make sure to report it so others don’t fall for it too!

Today, I got a call from this number. At first, there was an automated message about some tax fraud probe linked to me. Then, when someone finally answered and asked for my name, I told them and they just dropped the call immediately. It was really weird.

Got a call claiming to be from HMRC, but it was obviously a scam. They kept pushing me to decide immediately, warning that if I didn't, they'd issue a warrant in my name and I'd be arrested very soon! Totally sketchy.

Got a scary robocall claiming to be from HMRC. They said if I didn't press 1, they'd issue a warrant for my arrest over some supposed tax fraud they said they had proof of. Proper worrying stuff!

I received a voicemail from this number claiming there was an arrest warrant issued for me due to tax evasion. Utter nonsense! I’ve actually paid more tax than nearly everyone I know over the past few years. It’s clearly a scam. Don’t let these individuals ruffle your feathers!

Got a voicemail from some robocall claiming to be HMRC saying I was caught up in tax evasion and that there’s an arrest warrant for me. They sounded proper serious. Kinda wish I’d answered just to see how the chat would’ve gone, reckon it might’ve been oddly entertaining.

Not sure if I’m more annoyed or kinda impressed! This is the fourth time I’ve got a call about HMRC scams, but from different numbers each time. Seriously, how are these scammers getting hold of our phone numbers?

This was definitely a scam. The caller claimed to be from HMRC, but when I rang back, a guy with an Indian accent picked up. I told him my name and asked him to verify my postcode. Instead, he came up with a silly excuse saying he couldn’t share any details for security reasons, but expected me to provide mine! I called him out as a fraud and ended the call straight away. Really wish I’d checked these reviews before bothering to call!

Got a missed call and left a voicemail, so I rang back the number but it hung up after just a couple of rings. Looked it up online and found loads of similar comments about it, so decided to block the number straight away.

I got a voicemail last Friday regarding an alleged tax evasion, which was quite alarming. They also sent me a letter that I made sure to return unsigned. Now I’ve been informed that there's supposedly a warrant out for my arrest. It’s utterly terrifying to see how these scams operate; it’s astonishing that anyone would actually call them back out of fear. Truly appalling! What a disgraceful scam!

I received a voicemail that sounded quite sinister. An automated voice claimed I was being pursued for tax evasion, insisting that certain letters had been sent back unopened and that I now had a warrant out for my arrest! I can assure you, I’ve kept all my tax affairs in order and haven't received any such correspondence from anyone. Trusting my instincts, I chose not to return the call as something felt off. Thankfully, I turned to "WHO called" to dig deeper-what a fantastic resource! It’s astonishing how many absurd calls are out there!

I got a call from this number claiming that I was going to be apprehended due to tax evasion and that I needed to return the call. Just for kicks, I rang them back using a withheld ID, and an individual with an Indian accent picked up, identifying themselves as "Inland Revenue." This is clearly a fraudulent scheme. I assure you, I've absolutely not evaded any taxes, so this is simply nonsense. Best to just steer clear of it!

Received a call claiming I was dodging taxes and faced legal action. They said they’d sent letters but couldn’t deliver them properly - I told them had been trying hard enough. Mentioned I work for the Government and my tax is all sorted, but they said it was something else. They kept asking if I planned to pay up! I snapped back, saying they were talking rubbish and just weren’t paying attention. Could hear people chuckling behind them. In the end, I lost my temper and ended the call.

HMRC doesn’t ring you up about tax avoidance or ask for info over the phone. They always send letters through the post. If you're on PAYE, best to chat with your payroll team, and if you’re self-employed, get in touch with your accountant. That number’s definitely fake and just a scam. Don’t fall for it!
