Got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent. I acted like I couldn’t catch what she was saying, and she hung up pretty quickly. I’ve ended up blocking that number now.

Got a call from someone saying they're from GB Capital, some investment firm, trying to give me info and then push me to put money in. I've had calls from them before, each time from a diff number, all blocked now. I've told them to scrap my number and stop calling but they just don't stop. Feels a bit dodgy to me, could be a scam or something fishy?

So, this bloke claimed he was ringing from Microsoft or summat. I ended the call, but he rang straight back and then passed me onto some “manager”. couldn’t get off the phone no matter what, he kept pushing me to switch on my computer. When I told him I’d report it as a scam, he just hung up on me. Proper annoying and stubborn guy.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft support about my Windows. I got suspicious and told the woman I wasn’t interested, then hung up. Right after that, this woman named Jennifer rang me back, saying she’d taken over the call. The number showed up as being from Charing Cross. When I tried calling back, I just got a message in an American accent asking me to leave my details, but no company name was ever mentioned. Seemed dodgy to me.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent. She asked if she was talking to someone who doesn’t live at that address. I said no, but she just kept going with her spiel. She claimed there was some issue with my Windows PC or laptop. I told her three times over that I don’t own any Windows machines, yet she didn't stop at first. Eventually, she gave up. Pretty clear it was a scam try, really obvious.

These folks claimed to be from Windows and rang me up five times, even after I told them I wasn’t interested. It’s totally a scam, they even tried to baffle me by mentioning my own Windows ID. I ended up leaving the phone off the hook for a bit, and thankfully, they seemed to get the message.

Got a call earlier today from someone speaking with an Indian accent, saying they were from Microsoft. I told her straight away it was a scam and ended the call. Then moments later, another woman with a similar accent called back, claiming the same thing. I decided to play along for about 25 minutes while she kept insisting my computer had been hacked. Eventually, I said I had a really important meeting coming up (which was true) and that I had to go. She warned she’d ring me back at 4pm this afternoon, so I’m waiting to see if she does. In the meantime, I looked up this number on this website and it confirmed it was definitely a scam. I don’t want to sound racist or anything, but weirdly, every time I get these scam calls, it’s someone with an Indian accent. Had a similar hassle a few years ago when scammers were apparently operating right inside TalkTalk call centres over in India, which I think have now been shut down.

Just got a call from someone claiming to be Windows support - total scam as usual! I told this woman, called "Lisa," straight up that I wasn’t buying it and that I was ending the chat. Then, she called back right away. My husband answered second time and wasn’t nearly as courteous with them.

I had a feeling it was a scam and cut the call, but the lady rang me back straightaway. I picked up again, figuring a proper scammer wouldn’t be so quick to call back. She sounded really pushy and determined. She asked me to look at my computer for some messages, expecting that I’d have it on and be ready to follow her instructions, which all seemed quite convincing. BE CAREFUL. If I ever worry about my computer or security I’d much rather take it to a trusted place in person instead of dealing with it over the phone at home.

This number has been ringing me six times today, all claiming there’s something wrong with my computer. I told them to stop after the first couple of calls, but they kept coming back with four more. My husband even said they phoned twice while I wasn’t home. It’s so frustrating!!!!

I got a call from two different people on this number, both sounded like they had an Indian accent. They said they were ringing from somewhere on Regent Street and warned me that if I didn’t do something straight away, my computer would stop working. I kept one of them talking for a bit - figured if I kept her busy, she couldn’t bother anyone else - then I just hung up. Total scam, no doubt about it.

This morning, got a call from 02032893460. A bloke with a strong Indian accent said his name was Peter Rodriguez - nearly burst laughing at that one - claiming he was from some Windows support thing. I reckoned straight away it was a scam. I like winding these people up sometimes, so I told him, "Nah, I’m not after any windows." He goes, "It’s about your computer..." and I shot back, "I haven’t got one." Then he tried again, "You don’t have a computer or laptop?" I asked, "Why would you just assume that?" He hung up sharpish after that!

Someone called me talking about windows, so I figured it must be a sales pitch. I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. But then the phone rang again immediately, and the person shouted asking why I’d hung up - said it was something to do with my computer. I just told them they were a scammer and slammed the phone down.

Today I got called four times, once every hour, from people claiming to be Microsoft about some Windows issue. They said our computers had been hacked and the scammers were using our details. They warned that if we didn’t do something within half an hour, our accounts would be blocked. They mentioned they’d tried to contact us several times before but we just ignored it. A couple of days ago, I had a really similar call from number 01793 325879. Both times, they tried to talk over me and push me into acting quickly. The caller today was on a 0203 number and sounded just like the one from before. When I mentioned he’d called me a few days ago, he acted like it wasn’t him and then handed me over to a supervisor. They shared some info without even checking who I was. Would be careful with these guys!

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who was really pushy and demanding. She kept asking to speak to whoever owns the computer, even though that person wasn’t around. She said she was calling from Windows security support. When I told her I use a Mac, she didn’t seem pleased at all and got quite harsh with her tone. After she kept pushing to talk to the owner, she ended up just hanging up on me. I told her again the owner wasn’t here, and she said she’d ring back. Fingers crossed she doesn’t. If I figure out how to block this number on my landline, I definitely will!

I got loads of calls from someone saying they were from Microsoft. When I asked if it was true, they just kept cutting me off. They tried pushing me to switch my PC on and check stuff, but there’s no way I was gonna do that. They kept going on about only having like 15 or 20 minutes before my computer was knackered and how hackers had got into my info. They would not shut up, so I just hung up on them.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent pretending to be from Windows support. She said my computer was hacked and bad stuff was about to happen. I told her I wasn’t buying it and she tried to get me to check things on my PC to prove her point. No chance I was falling for that, sounded like a way for her to hack me. Ended up wasting about ten minutes messing her around. Totally a scam - never follow their instructions!
