Phone number ☎️ 02032892796 👆 is reported as a persistent nuisance call linked to a scam involving alleged road traffic accidents within the past three years. Callers, often with South Asian accents, claim to represent bogus solicitor firms or government departments and pressure recipients for personal details, sometimes hanging up abruptly when questioned. Despite many recipients being on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and some numbers being ex-directory, the calls continue, indicating potential misuse of data. The calls cause significant distress, especially to vulnerable individuals, and often involve silent or abandoned calls. Reported tactics include providing false company names, refusing to disclose their origins, and using misleading London-area numbers. Authorities are urged to take stronger action, while victims are advised not to engage and to report such calls to regulatory bodies.

Proper rude and really pushy. I said I looked up their number on google and it’s not linked to any legit company. He then went on about how I sounded like a scammer and some 90 year old lady. I’m just 28 and actually sound more like a teen. What a prat!

Today I got a call from a man with an Indian accent who said his name was Steven and was from the road safety office. I told him there was no way his name was Steven and just ended the call. Total scammers, honestly.

Got a call from some Indian call centre asking if I’d had a car crash in the past three years. They said they were from a lawyers firm called Attorneys Liverpool or something, but when I asked for an address, the woman just hung up on me. Funny enough, just last week I reported another supposedly Liverpool legal company with a different number to the ICO. Bit fishy, if you ask me.

Got calls like this before but never from this exact number, always claiming I was in a car accident. These scammers are disgusting, really need to be stopped. If someone’s waiting for a family member and gets this call, it could cause so much unnecessary panic. How on earth do they even get hold of your phone number to do this?

They disconnected as soon as I picked up. I can only guess they're trying to boost their call stats to meet some sort of targets.

Took a while to pick up after I accepted, phone says London but claims it’s not long distance and the rubbish sound quality gives away it’s an IP call - all dodgy if you ask me. Then a woman starts, "Helena from accident and emergency here" but she quickly breaks into a laugh and goes "How are you?" Like, seriously? Accident and emergency wouldn’t sound like that, so I just hung up. Honestly, who’s got time for this nonsense?

Got a call from this number too, was hoping to find out who it might be, but seems like just another spammer. Annoying how often these dodgy calls come through. Wish there was a better way to block them all!

Like many others here, he said he’d got my info from Traffic Management Ltd, which is supposed to be legit but I couldn’t find any evidence it’s real. I kept asking him questions until he just gave up and ended the call. I’m registered with TPS too - does anyone know if there’s any legal action you can take when these lot blatantly ignore the rules?

Just got another dodgy call to add to the list. The bloke said he was ringing from the Accident Enquiry Branch, asking if someone on this number had an accident in the past three years. I asked him again who he was with, he repeated himself, then I pressed where he got this number from. He said it was a government agency or something. These scam callers seriously need to be stopped for good. They target vulnerable folks, often older people, and they nearly always have an Asian accent. I actually feel sorry for the poor sods making these calls, probably under orders from some nasty bosses.

Yet another load of nonsense regarding a supposed vehicle mishap. I mentioned to her that she was far more informed than I was, and promptly ended the call. We’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but it appears to have little effect. If I'd had a bit more time to spare, I would’ve enjoyed keeping her chatting and running up their costs, but there’s always a next opportunity!

Just got a call earlier from someone claiming to be with GB Traffic or something similar, asking if I’d had any accidents in the last three years. I said no, but played along long enough to snag their number. I’m registered with TPS, so why isn’t Ofcom cracking down on these lot? It’s mad that an 0203 number looks like it’s from London but could actually be from anywhere in the UK. Properly frustrating!

Tried calling back but no luck, just dead silence. Definitely gonna block this on my home phone.

To really annoy them, just keep calling back. They’re definitely there, they just cut off when you ring. I kept ringing for like 20 minutes straight until someone finally answered with a ‘Hello’. I just told them not to call this number again and they hung up. Thinking about them getting annoyed was priceless, so funny! They’re around, so block the number and then call them over and over, play their own game and they’ll stop bothering you eventually!

I've received a total of five calls from this number in recent weeks, and as a retiree in my late seventies, it’s quite unsettling to be contacted so often. They ring me at all sorts of times, probing about an alleged accident that apparently took place over three years ago. It's all rather overwhelming, and I do wish there was a way to put an end to these incessant interruptions. Surely, there must be measures in place to deal with this sort of nuisance?

I'm absolutely fed up with these dodgy phone calls, and this number is the latest offender. I played along and said, “Oh yes, I've had quite a few rather unfortunate incidents,” even though that wasn’t the case! Suddenly, there was silence, and the line went completely dead! Quite the strange encounter, to say the least!

Got some bloke on the phone trying a daft Scottish accent, asking if me or my family had been in a car crash in the last three years. I told him to jog on, called him a dodgy ambulance chaser, and slammed the phone down. I’m ex-directory and signed up to the TPS, so no idea how they got my number.

This number has been calling me on and off for weeks but always cuts off after just a few rings. When I try to call back, it just keeps going busy. It's Sunday evening now and it just rang again around 8.25 pm.

I keep receiving relentless calls concerning a car crash, but I don’t even own a vehicle, so it's got to be a scam!

Somebody rang me pretending to be from 'JB Law Solicitors', sounded like a typical call centre scammer with an Asian accent. They said their office was at 22 Sunderland St, Macclesfield SK11 6JL, but Google says that place shut down ages ago. The chat got all messy quickly and he never even got around to his sales spiel before I cut the call.

Got another one of those silent calls - picked up, no one spoke, then the line just went dead. Looks like one of those auto dial machines. Shame, I didn't get to tell them how I feel about cold calling. I'm on the TPS list, so I'll be reporting this number, though who knows if it’ll make a difference.

A bloke with an overseas accent - maybe Asian? rang me today about an accident I supposedly had in the past 3 years. I told him he’d got the wrong number as I haven’t had any accident, plus I’m signed up to TPS so he shouldn’t be calling me. Told him if he rings again I’d report him! Then I just ended the call. Another annoying call again!

Got a call today from 02032892796 saying they were from some accident investigation firm. I told the bloke with an Asian accent to bugger off and really hope they don’t ring me again. Don’t get fooled by these scams. Honestly, I can’t stand these people.

Received a call from this number today claiming I was in an accident two years ago - totally not true. They said I could claim £1800. When I tried to get details about the insurance, they said it was Aviva. I asked for a claim reference, which they gave me, then asked for Aviva's contact number. Guess what? They gave me 02032892796. And of course, they just hung up straight after. Not surprised at all!

Earlier today, I received a call from this number claiming that they had information regarding a car crash I supposedly experienced in the past three years. I decided to entertain them a bit, replying with something along the lines of, "Indeed, I've had my fair share of misfortune lately." When I inquired about their identity and the purpose of their call, the woman on the other end-who had quite a strong Indian accent-quickly ended the call as soon as I mentioned I had no interest in what they were offering. Quite the curious encounter!

The guy said he was ringing about an accident claim from one we supposedly had in the past couple years. I told him it was a business line and he just put the phone down. This same number gave us a silent call last week too. I've reported it to ICO and Ofcom.

I received a call from someone claiming to discuss an accident claim, asserting we’d been involved in an accident within the last two years. I informed him that he’d dialled a business line, and he promptly ended the conversation. Interestingly, we also received a silent call from this number just the week before. As we’re on the Telephone Preference Service list, I’ve reported this incident to both the Information Commissioner's Office and Ofcom.

Got a call from some Accident Claims firm even tho i havent had a crash in like 30 years of driving! Im also signed up with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), so no clue how they got hold of my number. When i asked, they refused to say. I told them I’d report them for harrassment and all they said back was 'what about your accident'. Ridiculous!

Someone rang claiming to be from a Traffic Management firm asking if anyone at my place had been in an accident over the past three years. When I asked what their purpose was and told them to remove my number since I was sick of these calls, I also mentioned I hadn’t had any accidents but might consider it if they kept calling. Before I could finish, they just hung up on me. Total annoyance.

Same old story, they were after "the person at this number who’s had an accident in the past three years and it wasn't their fault." I kept her chatting for over five minutes, then switched to quietly muttering some really nasty stuff to get her off the phone. Felt pretty good to be honest. Just remember, the longer you keep them on the line, the less worth it this scam is for them - you might even stop your Nan from being the next victim. My personal best is 9 minutes, and once I even had a supervisor ring me back shortly after, complaining about me upsetting their team!

I've lodged a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service as well. Any calls made from the number 02032892796 to TPS-registered lines contravene regulations and are, in fact, illegal. They may even face a hefty fine! It's essential to report these incidents!

It's best to ignore that call; I bet you’ve got a mobile, so your mates will likely be reaching out on that instead. Scam calls tend to ring longer than six times, giving you plenty of time to appear occupied - maybe even tending to those nails! Once the ringing ceases, just dial 1471 to retrieve their number, then pop over to this site to uncover who it was. If it’s on your mobile, the number will display right away, so you can easily look it up on your computer, tablet, or what have you. Cheers for such a fantastic and helpful resource!

I received a call from a gentleman of Asian/Indian descent who claimed he was representing the accident centre. When I asked him for the name of his company, he abruptly ended the call! It seems they're not going to con too many individuals if they can’t even answer a straightforward query like that… 😂

Got a call from an Asian guy sayin' I'd been in some accident. I played along even tho I hadn't. Then he passed me to a supervisor who asked more stuff. I asked her where she got my number but she couldn't give a proper answer. Said the call was recorded for training purposes. I’d had enough and told her she was talking rubbish and not to ring me again. Honestly, her accent was tricky to catch anyway. What a bunch of clowns if they think I'll fall for that nonsense.

I received a call this afternoon from a gentleman who had a distinct Indian accent, claiming to be from the Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB). He alleged that I had been involved in a minor car accident, which I vehemently knew was not the case-I've never had an accident! I've heard about these types of scams in the news, so I decided to humour him. He began probing for my bank account information, stating that I needed to fork out £150 plus VAT to process the claim. When I questioned why someone insured in an accident would be responsible for paying a third party, he abruptly hung up on me.
