I got a suspicious email claiming I'd paid £920.20 to eBay. It said if I didn’t recognise the purchase, I should ring +44-20-3289-2076 - don’t call this number, it’s a scam! The message talked about buying an LG 83-inch TV with delivery confirmed, but I never authorised anything. The email looked real with transaction IDs and all, but the address was a random place in Norwich. It warned not to reply to the email and to log into your account to contact them properly. Just a heads up - don’t fall for this trick and avoid phoning that number!

I got an email claiming to be from eBay about some dodgy purchase for a TV using this number. Totally a scam warning.

Just got an email today about some trouble with a TV purchase. Near the end it says something like: Got problems with this deal? You’ve got 7 days from when you bought it to raise a dispute through the Resolution Centre on +44-20-3289-2076. Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Got this dodgy email saying I won something from Ebay, and it had this number attached to it. Definitely a scam.

Got an email saying it’s from eBay about a dodgy purchase. The phone number they mentioned was this one, but it’s definitely not eBay’s. I reckon the whole thing is a scam where they ring you to "sort out" the issue and end up convincing you to hand over your bank or card info on the call.

Beware of emails pretending to be from eBay - it’s a scam!!!

It's a total scam! Even if you never give them your bank info, they still go ahead and bill you for the calls. Completely dodgy.

Got a call that said it was eBay telling me I had just purchased a pricey TV. It was totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

Totally the same here. Received a bill supposedly for an Apple laptop I already settled, for about £1460. Definitely not going to call that number.

Got a message out of the blue saying I'd bought an iPhone on eBay and to ring that number if I wanted to dispute it. Total spam, don't fall for it!

Got a dodgy email claiming to be from eBay with a fake invoice. They wanted me to ring a certain number, probably a refund scam. They promise to give your money back but then ask for loads of personal info, likely just to empty your bank account. Before thinking about calling, double-check your eBay orders and your bank balance yourself. And heads up, if you do call, they might pretend to be your bank over the phone. Best advice? Never ring numbers from emails or click on any links.

Got a call from a dodgy number claiming it was from eBay with a fake invoice. No chance I'm calling back.
