On the afternoon of Friday, the 16th of February, my elderly parents received an unusual call from a woman with a foreign accent, apparently offering life insurance. I answered the phone, and there was a rather long pause before she uttered a word, prompting me to ask her who was on the line for the third time. After informing her that we weren’t interested and expressing my gratitude for her call, I promptly hung up and reported the number to BT 1572's blacklist service. It was rather frustrating how long it took to actually cut the connection. Just a heads-up to everyone-stay vigilant!

The phone rings, and as soon as I pick up, it cuts off immediately-honestly, it feels like some sort of phone harassment! Quite infuriating, to say the least.

Every time I’m forced to share my mobile number with various institutions like the government, local councils, or even the Post Office, it's like I’ve opened the floodgates to a whole host of pestering calls. I'm on the brink of relocating and have had to hand over my number to those outfits, and wouldn’t you know it, within a day I’m inundated with irritating calls. One of them was from the number in question. It really makes one wonder if folks employed by these organisations are peddling our details. There ought to be some serious repercussions for any staff caught doing so-perhaps a stern warning about immediate dismissal would serve as a fitting deterrent!
