We got a call from someone saying our BT internet was having issues and that they’d need to shut it off for 4 to 5 days. When we asked for their name and address to report them to the police, she bizarrely gave us our own phone number and address instead. We hung up, but then she rang straight back, demanding to know why we ended the call. I put the phone on speaker and contacted the police from another line, then they cut off. When I tried calling the number back, it just said unavailable. The funniest part? We aren’t even BT customers! Plus, just a few days earlier, that same number rang pretending to be Microsoft and claimed there was a problem with my computer. What a scam!

So I got a call from a guy, sounded Asian, kept calling me 'madam', claiming he was from BT. He said my internet was gonna be disconnected for like two weeks! Thing is, I'm not even a BT customer. He gave me this number to ring back, 0203 289 2504, but I checked and people have already flagged it as dodgy before. Total waste of time!
