Got a call from a bloke speaking with a heavy Indian accent, saying he was from Vodafone. He tried to sell me a discount if I signed up for a new contract or kept my SIM only plan through their app. He wanted me to confirm a security code he supposedly sent via text. The message said not to share the number with anyone, so I just ended the call. Definitely smells like a billing scam to me.

Somebody rang claiming they were from Three, saying my SIM needed to be replaced. I told them that Three never ring me directly. They then asked for my email to confirm, but I asked for more evidence that it was genuinely Three. They sent me a message on Messenger to prove it was them, but I wasn’t convinced at all. Over the day, I got calls from four different numbers. Some showed up as scams on my phone, but the first couple didn’t, which made it confusing.

Got a call from a woman saying she was calling on behalf of EE from some call centre, offering a broadband discount. Told her my missus handles that stuff but she wasn’t in, and then they just hung up. Smells like a scam to me.

At the start of the call there was a weird long silence, then a woman said her name was Lucy and she was ringing from Vodafone. I told her I suspected it was a scam, and she just ended the call.

After a weirdly long wait, the call finally hooked me up with one of those scam centres in India.

Got a call from a bloke, sounded like one of them EE scams. I told him I wasn't interested and he just ended the call. Could hear loads of chatter from what sounded like a call centre in the background.

Got a call from someone saying his name was Edward. Took him a little while to come up with a name, there was a weird pause when I asked him! Claimed he was calling from Vodafone but when I checked the number, it showed up as a scam. He then attempted to change it from scam to spam! What a joke.

This number is dodgy. When you answer, it doesn’t ring straight through to a person but instead jumps to some dodgy call centre in India claiming to be Vodafone, which it definitely isn’t. Best not to engage with them, just block and mark as spam.

I got a call from 02032891557 and after a pause, the person said they were from o2 and warned that all sims were gonna explode in a few days because of some fault. Then they offered to send me a free replacement sim. I just ended the call and had a good laugh about it.

Can anyone tell me who’s been ringing me from 02032891557? I've been getting calls from this number and I'm not sure who it is.

Got a call from 02032891557 yesterday, some bloke telling me I'd been hacked. At first I wasn’t too worried, but then he started going on about how he had control of my computer. After a bit he said I needed to pay £9.00. That’s when I started to get a bit dodgy about the whole thing. When I asked why the fee, he didn’t sound pleased and ended the call quickly. Can anyone tell me if this is some kind of scam or if I should be worried? Cheers.

Got a call from a London number, claiming my computer had issues and they could fix it for me. Turns out it was totally a scam trying to get access or something. Be careful if you get a call like that!

When I visited the Argos site, a message popped up right after the Microsoft logo appeared, claiming my computer was hacked and controlled by someone else. The voice told me to call that number straight away, saying it was from Microsoft, and warned me not to shut down my PC. I later looked up the number on another device and saw it wasn’t connected to Microsoft at all. Definitely a scam! Best thing is to just close the site, disconnect from the internet, and do a thorough virus scan.

When I visited the Argos site, a message popped up saying my PC was hacked, telling me to ring this so-called Microsoft number. The voice kept going on and on, it was really scary. Luckily, my daughter told me to just turn it all off, and I’m thankful I listened. I was ready for phone scams, but this online stuff really threw me off.
