02032877523 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02032877523 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving callers impersonating major UK mobile networks, particularly O2, claiming to offer SIM card upgrades, usually to 5G. Callers often pressure recipients for personal information, especially email addresses, and insist on confirming details that genuine providers would already have. Many report aggressive or pushy behaviour and multiple calls from different numbers, including international call centres. Users advise not to provide any personal data, to hang up immediately, and block the numbers. Official sources confirm genuine networks do not require SIM replacements solely for 5G access. They keep ringing me everyday, saying they're from 3 network. Even after I blocked their number, they just call from loads of other ones. It's really annoying!

They've taken their scam up a notch by pretending to offer car loans now. I get calls and texts loads of times a day from different numbers like +44 7523 269896 and +44 7523 269177. Proper annoying.

I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier, where the individual on the other end was rather pushy about confirming my email address-something I never provided in the first place! They seemed rather taken aback when I suggested they send me a written message instead. After a bit more back and forth, I decided to end the call. Seemed a tad dodgey, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent pretending to be from Virgin Media tryna upgrade my sim card. I don’t even use Virgin Media! She kept pushing me to give my email address. 100% a scam, no doubt!

I received a call from someone who said they were representing O2. They requested my email address, claiming they were sending out a new SIM card due to an upgrade at the phone mast. I told them I wasn't giving it out, noting that they should already have it on file. They then mentioned they'd send the details through the post. I'm rather wary and suspect this might be a scam.

TOTALLY A SCAM They said they were calling from O2 to offer me a 5G upgrade. Asked me to provide my email for verification. I told them to tell me my email first; after all, if they were real O2, they'd already have it. When they couldn’t, I ended the call straight away.

Got a call from an unknown number on my mobile but didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. Sounds like it might be one of those scams again?

I got a call from 02032877523 earlier today, some Indian woman claiming to be from O2. She asked for my email and wanted me to spell it out. I gave her my spam email first and she didn't say it wasn’t the one on file - that’s when I got suspicious. She said they wanted to send me a new 5G SIM card, but I’m already on 5G anyway! After a quick chat, I ended the call. Then she rang me back asking why I’d hung up. I told her I'd looked up the number and it was a scam, and to take my details off their list. She just hung up after that. Blocked the number straight away and deleted it.

I received a rather peculiar call claiming to be from O2, where the individual insisted on needing to "upgrade my SIM to a 5G version." However, when I reached out to O2 directly to chat about renewing my contract, they assured me that all their SIM cards are inherently 5G compatible, and there's absolutely no requirement to replace them. Sounds like a classic case of a scam, if you ask me!

Got a call from a number that turned out to be a scam trying to get my details. Watch out for these dodgy phone contacts!

It seems like there’s a bit of a dodgy operation going on with O2's 5G service. If you're looking to deal with them, I reckon the most entertaining approach would be to blast out the tune "Dynamite" at maximum volume until you manage to reach a manager. Don’t forget to label them a scam artist while you’re at it! 😊

Some dodgy callers from India rang me up pretending to be from a phone company trying to get me on a contract. I tried to be cheeky with the woman on the line, but she wasn’t having any of it!

Definitely a scam, got a call from a woman who sounded like she was in some call centre in India, claiming to be from O2. She said they were sending me a 5G SIM card and wanted my email to verify who I was. I wouldn’t give her the third letter of my email address - she said she already had it and that O2 wouldn’t ask for that anyway. I kept her on the line for about 15 minutes, had a few awkward moments where I pretended I could give the info to calm her down, then she suddenly went quiet or ended the call. After a few more minutes of silence, the call finally disconnected.

I received a dodgy call earlier today, where the caller was trying to convince me to switch to a ‘5G sim’. They pretended to be from O2, but something felt off about the whole thing. Definitely a scam, I reckon!

Beware of O2! I recently encountered a troubling situation with them regarding a 5G SIM card replacement. My phone is only equipped for 4G, yet they appeared completely oblivious to this fact. Quite perplexing, to say the least!

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, going on about an issue with my sim. They asked for my email right away. Im with O2 too but something didn’t feel right. I told them to prove they worked for O2 but they just couldn’t. Honestly, how do these scammers live with themselves?

09/02/24 I got a call on my mobile from a woman with a strong overseas accent, her English was quite mixed up. She said she was calling from O2 and trying to upgrade my SIM card. She asked if I was actually with O2 first. Then she handed me over to some person who said they were a manager and promised to ring me back. Neither of them asked for any personal information, and I didn’t share any either.

Got a dodgy call from a woman named Nancy who said she was ringing from O2, using some London office as her excuse. When I asked about the weather over there, she couldn’t even answer. She tried saying they wanted to send me a new SIM card. I told her straight I’ve never had O2 before, always been with a different network since it’s a work phone. She had no clue where she’d got my number or any info about me, then just went quiet and gave up.

Total scam, claiming to be O2 but definitely not. It’s some kind of vishing trick. Never hand out your details, and if you pick up a call from an unknown number, keep your name to yourself. Genuine callers always come prepared with all the proper info.
