To add to the intrigue, he mentioned that a hefty £5000 had been withdrawn from my account but stated they had managed to halt the transaction. Our conversation touched on various matters, including certain actions he urged me to take. Feeling uneasy about his requests, I promptly reached out to my bank, who confirmed that this was certainly a scam. Shortly after, I got two more calls on my mobile from a different number, 0207 097 1494, which I suspect were also from the same individuals.
