Thankfully, my mum had the good sense to consult me before handing over any cash. I promptly rang the number back and made it crystal clear that I was onto their scam. I pressed them for their company details, asserting that if they were above board, they'd have no qualms about me reporting them to the authorities. Their response? They claimed to be from "motherfcuker.com" before abruptly hanging up.
