Got a call from a guy, claimed he was from BT, but the name was odd and my wife picked up. He said someone was using our internet, which is weird since we don't even have BT. He tried to convince her by giving a number to check, but she just hung up. He rang again after, but she didn't pick up this time.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT about slow internet and annoying pop-ups. Turned out to be Indian. Just blocked the number straight away.

Today my landline buzzed with a call from this number claiming there was some BT maintenance issue and that my broadband was at risk from hackers. The bloke wanted me to log into my laptop, which immediately seemed dodgy, so I said I was busy and asked him to ring later. Afterwards, I got in touch with BT and my broadband provider, and they confirmed it was a scam - they don't contact customers like that. The caller, a fella with an Indian accent, insisted his name was David Williams, which sounded fishy, and even gave me a code to 'prove' his identity. When he called back, I told him I'd checked with BT and it was a scam. He asked what number I'd called and suggested I should've rung the number he phoned from. I wasn’t having any of it and told him to jog on.

I got a call from this number on the morning of 17/01/18. They claimed to be from BT and said there was an issue with my internet connection. The person asked if they could access my computer. The voice had an Indian accent and I could hear the typical buzz of a call centre in the background.

Somebody with an accent said a few words and then just cut the call...straight to block from me!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying our internet was being hacked or something. He asked us to log into our account. We rang BT afterwards and they said everything was fine with our broadband. Just a heads up, watch out for this number!
