Got a call from some call centre, sounded like a total scam to me.

Got a call from someone saying there was an issue with my computer, and they wanted me to turn it on so they could fix it. They asked for my phone number too. Said they were a Microsoft branch based in Thames Valley Business Park, Reading. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Received a call purportedly from the "Windows Technical Department" today. The chap on the line was eager for me to carry out some tasks on my computer to rectify what he called "suspect software" that had somehow made its way onto my device. I told him I’d get back to him once I had a moment to sort my computer out. Frankly, I'm not planning on making any alterations to my system, but I might just keep him occupied for a bit - a little time-wasting might discourage such shenanigans in the future.
