This number has called me a couple of times now, but both calls were on a really poor connection. The caller says they're from Vodafone and promises to cut my bill by half. When I ask them to prove they're actually Vodafone by telling me something from my account, they just hang up straight away. Feels very dodgy, like a scam to me.

I got an email regarding the renewal of my Norton security subscription, and this number was included. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I just got an email from this number claiming they took £359 from my card for some Norton security thing. Thing is, I don’t even have a card with them and never signed up for Norton at all. The email seemed legit at first glance but it actually came from a Gmail address! Feels like a dodgy scam to me, and an expensive one at that.

Answering calls from numbers you don't know isn't the smartest move. It might be one of those wangiri scams, which have become popular again but with some new tricks, thanks to more people ringing back unknown callers. The person who commented below might wanna grab a hefty glass of whisky and take a good look at their phone bill - just to be sure! If you get scam emails, you can send them over to the cyber crime unit at '[email protected]'. They'll usually send a confirmation reply. This comes straight from the police's Action Fraud guidelines about reporting phishing attempts.

I found the number in a dodgy email attachment and decided to give it a ring. Before I even said a word, a guy named Syvester answered. I kinda like messing about with scammers and making them hang for a bit.

Just got an email saying I gotta pay £359 to renew some subscription. What on earth? I've never even used Norton before. Ha! Definitely a scam. Plus it was sent from a Gmail account, not any official Norton email. Ridiculous!

Got an email from a gmail account claiming to be Norton, saying they were charging me £349 for an automatic renewal. The number they gave was in the message too. Total rip off! Stay well clear of this scam.

I got an email that looked like it was from Norton Security, saying I’d been charged £359 for an automatic renewal. The message included this number to call for cancelling or getting a refund. Turns out, it’s a total scam!
