Earlier today, I received a rather dodgy call from this number, claiming they had successfully processed my PPI claim and that a cheque was on its way to me. However, they insisted I purchase Ukash vouchers worth £295 to hand over to their 'driver' upon delivery of the cheque. Naturally, I informed the caller that I couldn't possibly manage that kind of expense. To my astonishment, he suggested I should just borrow the money from friends or family! I promptly ended the conversation and contacted the proper company handling my PPI claim, only to find out they had only just received my documents. To make matters worse, within half an hour, a woman from the same number rang me to say they had my cheque in hand. I requested my PPI claim reference number, and she seemed utterly confused. After a bit of back-and-forth, she hung up on me when I reiterated my request. I've reported the incident to the police, and they’ve noted the number. They also advised me to log this on the relevant online platform. Quite the saga, really!

I got a call from this number saying my PPI claim had gone through and a cheque was on its way. But before that, they wanted me to buy Ukash vouchers worth £295 and hand them to their courier when the cheque was delivered. I said I didn’t have that kinda money and the guy told me to borrow it from family or mates. I hung up and rang the company I’m actually claiming with - they’d only just got my papers. Then about half an hour later, a woman from the same number called saying they’d got my cheque. I asked her for my claim reference, she didn’t catch me so I repeated it, then said “OMG” and when I asked what she meant, she hung up. I’ve reported it to the police now and they told me to also report it to EA.

I keep getting calls from this number a few times every day, saying they’re from some PPI claim line company. I’ve told them I don’t have any PPI claims but they just keep ringing. Honestly, it’s getting really annoying now.
