I received a rather suspicious call today, purportedly from UK Tariff, claiming that Sky customers like myself have been charged too much and they were keen to verify my payment history. When they probed about any recent changes to my account, I simply mentioned that as my account is fairly new, there hadn't been any adjustments. Then they inquired about how long I've held the account, which I found a tad intrusive and chose not to divulge that information. When I questioned their legitimacy, they seemed taken aback and replied, “Well, how DO you know who I am? I’m ringing from UK Tariff.” I insisted that I had no means to confirm their identity and expressed my disinterest in their schemes. It was then that I promptly hung up. Upon looking into the number afterwards, I noticed it was affiliated with various Royal Mail calls. Quite the conundrum!

Received a call from someone purporting to be from Royal Mail. I informed them that I wasn't expecting any packages, and then they just cut the call. I've now added the number to my blocked list.

I received a rather suspicious call today, on the 24th of December, from this number claiming I had a hefty 75-kilo parcel waiting for me. Who on earth would send such a massive item without prior notice? Not to mention, there was no shipping fee covered! I promptly told her that was utterly ridiculous, and she simply thanked me and ended the call! I strongly suspect this is a scam. They may have been fishing for my card information. I really do wish someone could track down this number and take appropriate action against these nefarious characters. It's infuriating! Did they really believe we'd fall for their little game? Honestly, do they think we're all complete fools?

I recently received a rather dubious phone call claiming it was from Royal Mail regarding a parcel addressed to me. Out of curiosity, I inquired how they obtained my phone number, to which the caller replied it was from the sender. Naturally, I pressed for more information and asked for the sender's name, but she only mentioned some initials-AR-nothing more. I pointed out the obvious contradiction in her story: how could she have my number from someone she didn’t even know? It felt like a major scam right from the get-go! I'll tell you, she couldn't handle the heat and promptly hung up on me. What a sad state of affairs!

Had a similar experience this morning-once again, it’s the tale of Royal Mail claiming they have a package but can’t get it to me. I suggested they send it to my nearest sorting office so I can pick it up myself. It makes me ponder just how many people might end up having a dismal Christmas due to being taken in by this age-old con.

Someone rang me up claiming to be from Royal Mail, stating that my parcel was sitting in London. I mentioned I could collect it directly from my depot in Inverness and settle the payment there, but they absurdly insisted that wasn’t an option and required my email address instead. I couldn’t help but chuckle, and just like that, the call ended abruptly!

Received a call from someone claiming to represent Royal Mail, stating they couldn’t deliver a parcel due to missing postage. I found the whole thing rather suspicious, so I decided to end the call and, rather interestingly, they haven’t attempted to reach me again. Do exercise caution, as she seemed intent on leading me into an automated system-presumably to collect my card information to 'settle the unpaid delivery charges.'

This is definitely a dodgy operation. There’s absolutely no trace of this number being associated with Royal Mail. They gave me the same old story about insufficient postage, yet the caller couldn't provide any specifics about the sender or even the address where the parcel was supposedly headed. It’s clear as day that these con artists have managed to get their hands on a phone number along with a first and last name, but beyond that, they’re completely clueless.

A caller claimed to be from the Royal Mail, insisting that I provide my email address so she could forward details on how to settle an additional £1.55 in postage fees before they could process my delivery. Frankly, I’d rather forgo the parcel altogether than fall for such a ruse. Good luck to her with her little scheme - she’ll need it!
