Got a text back on 9th August 2016 from someone called Jennifer about a PPI claim worth £2439 - kinda rings a bell? It was from A&L and told me to call and ask for extension 314 for more info.

Just a quick update from my last post. Got a call around 9:30 from someone named Joe, said he was from the Accounts Department, extension 211. He told me my payment would arrive today, but only if I bought an Apple ITUNE card worth £250. Apparently, I was supposed to hand this card over to a delivery guy named R Wilson. The payment itself was said to be a cheque for £1539 and £900 in cash. I told Joe I wouldn’t be getting the voucher until I was sure about his company and Barclays verified the payment. After checking around, I found out that payments go straight to the claimant, even if the claim’s handled by a firm like Charge Back Claims. Seems like a total scam to me, so I’m not handing over any vouchers. Wouldn’t advise anyone else to either.

Today, on 10/08/16, I got a call from the number 02032864699, from someone saying he was Peter from "Charge Back Claim." He claimed my PPI claim was approved and I was due to receive £2439.00, which is strange because I never made any PPI claim. They told me to expect another call from their "Claims Dept" within half an hour. Sure enough, a guy named Joe from accounts rang me. He said someone would call me at 9.30am on 11/08/16 to confirm how I'd get the money, but didn’t specify whether it would be cash or a cheque. I’ll update here after that call.

Got a voicemail from someone called Roger, said he was from Charles Bedgley about my PPI compensation with TSB, claiming £2439 and asked me to call back. Problem is, I’m not waiting on any claim or case with them at all.

Back on 8th August 2016, I got a call from a man with an Indian accent saying they’d sorted out a £2439 payout from some PPI claim. He told me their claims team would ring back in about 10 to 15 minutes and I’d need to give a reference number he provided. Thing is, I’ve never made any such claim. The first bloke who called had to ring me again because the line kept cutting out.
