Got a call from some automated bloke with a North American accent, saying BT’s tech support found malware on my PC. I sussed it was dodgy right away and ended the call. The number’s Italian, from what I can tell by the code, and it’s been active for some time now. You’d think the authorities could track it down and put a stop to it. I’d say it’s mainly "harassing" unless you stupidly press 1 as the message says, then it turns "dangerous."

Got a voicemail from some bloke with an American accent - sounded really harsh and pretty scary. They kept saying if I didn’t press 1, I’d be charged with fraud and taken away by the police. They claimed it was from BT, but that was clearly a lie. Glad I missed the call because hearing those threats was honestly quite upsetting. I’ve already wiped the message now.

I noticed this number was international, so I figured it was likely a scam and just blocked it without answerin. I'd switched off my BT Call Guardian earlier that day so the hospital could get through without trouble. Now it looks like I’ll have to keep it off for a bit, which means those scammers will probably ring back using different numbers.

Got a call from supposedly BT, but it was clearly fake. The voice was this dull automated bloke, sounded nothing human. I missed the start 'cos my answerphone kicked in but caught the rest: "…representative to fix the issue or you’ll be part of a fraud case and risk arrest.
