A chap claiming to be from TalkTalk contacted me, insisting he required access to my router. He persuaded me to grant him access to my computer, and, despite my hesitation, he knew a snippet of my address and even my TalkTalk account number, which threw me off a bit. He went on to mention a £200 refund but insisted I log into my bank account for it. Given that he had control over my PC, I felt it was best to steer clear of that. In the end, I decided enough was enough and ended the call, as his tenacity was rather unsettling!

I received a call from an Asian chap claiming to be from TalkTalk, insisting he needed to assess my router. He asked for access to my computer, which I hesitated to provide, although he knew bits of my address and my TalkTalk account number. He dangled a tempting £200 refund in front of me, but it required me to log into my bank account. With him having control over my PC, I was highly reluctant to proceed with that. His constant pressure became quite unsettling, so I decided to end the conversation abruptly!
