I received a rather alarming phone call where the individual on the line claimed they were from the Government and had an urgent matter to discuss with me! The accent was quite foreign, and I really struggled to decipher what they were saying. I had to insist on being transferred to a supervisor, which was only marginally clearer. They rang again, asserting they were from a company called Blue Skies, supposedly operating under a Greendeal initiative for the Government. To my astonishment, they flatly refused to disclose their phone number, despite it being displayed on my caller ID. They were incredibly evasive and dodged my questions at every turn. It’s absolutely absurd that these sorts of calls can even take place. I contribute my fair share of taxes; why am I not afforded better protection against such intrusive disturbances?

I recently received a call from a bloke named Gary inquiring about loft insulation. However, he was quite reluctant to share any of his details or even give me a callback number! Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I just had some tosser attempting to pull a fast one on me!

I received a rather bothersome call where the chap on the other end inquired if I was the owner of the property. Even though I am, I outright said 'no,' and he promptly hung up. He claimed his name was Antony, but his accent seemed a bit off.

This is a rather dubious outfit that seems to have little regard for the TPS opt-out. Best to avoid ringing them back or engaging in conversation; simply disconnect the call.

They initiated the call by claiming they were representatives of the Government and needed to speak to me without delay!

The individuals on the line had a noticeable foreign accent, and I found myself having to request that they transfer me to a supervisor as I struggled to comprehend a word they were saying. That slightly improved things.

They just rang again, asserting that they were with Blue Skies, operating under some Greendeal initiative for the Government.

To my astonishment, they were completely unwavering when it came to revealing their telephone number, despite it being visible on my caller ID.

Extremely evasive, I would say.

It's absolutely unacceptable that these types of calls can still take place. I’m dutifully paying my taxes, so where’s the safeguard against this nonsense?
