Got a call from someone sayin’ they were Linda White from HMRC. Kinda thought about ringin’ back just to waste their time. If I keep them chatting for a while, that means they ain’t botherin’ other folks. Got the same message two times today, so I've blocked the number for good. HMRC wouldn't ever get in touch like this, it's definitely dodgy. I've also seen similar texts doing the rounds. Best to just block and ignore!

Someone called claiming to be Linda White from HMRC, saying there’s an arrest warrant out for me if I don’t respond straight away, and that I’ll be taken to court for tax fraud and avoidance. Honestly, I was pretty freaked out and it sounded genuine since it seemed quite official. I’ve since tried ringing HMRC using their official number from the website, but the numbers they’re giving out seem all over the place and confusing. So, I’m guessing this is some kind of scam? Maybe even a dirty tactic to overload HMRC’s phone lines?
