I received a call from someone claiming to be from BT, alleging that my broadband had been compromised multiple times and that their engineers were on the case. They provided this number as a way to verify their identity, mentioning a work ID of CS 86 000 54. Naturally, I refrained from returning the call and attempted to reach BT myself, but I couldn't get through to anyone on their helpline. I'm pretty certain this was just a scam.

Received a call claiming to be from the IT department at BT. Just a heads up - they’re not legitimate. I rang BT directly using their official number to confirm. Whatever you do, steer clear of sharing any personal details with this caller!
