Received a call earlier today claiming that my BT internet was about to be disconnected. They provided this number for a return call, yet a quick check with 1471 revealed that the caller's number was 'withheld'. It struck me as odd that BT would operate this way, leading me to believe it was more than likely a scam.

I've been duped; they noted down my bank information and took all my funds.

On 11/08/2016, I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying my broadband had been compromised multiple times and that engineers were fixing it. They gave me this number and an ID, something like CS 86 000 54, asking me to ring back to verify they were legit. I didn’t call the number though, instead trying to reach BT myself, but couldn’t actually speak to anyone on their official line. Pretty sure this was just a bother call trying to scam me.

Got a call claiming to be from BT's IT team, but it felt dodgy so I rang BT using their official number to check. Turns out, they were imposters. Seriously, don’t share any of your personal details with these kinds of calls!
