I received a rather bizarre phone call this morning from a chap named Gareth. He insists that they have a cheque for me, amounting to £4200. Apparently, someone from the government is supposed to visit my home with the cheque and some legal paperwork for me to sign. However, there's a catch: they want me to cough up £210 in commission fees at a local paypoint first. I can't quite wrap my head around the logic-why on earth wouldn't they just deduct that amount from the £4200? Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'd appreciate any insights into whether this is legitimate!

Absolutely shady business! They keep ringing me incessantly. They claim they have a cheque to deliver but then try to trick you into making some payments via PayPal. They're pretending to be associated with the London County Court or some such nonsense. I’ve firmly asked them to cease their calls, yet it appears they're keen on targeting the elderly and those who are more susceptible. It's quite appalling, really!

I've received a fair few calls since a little mishap I had recently. A chap by the name of 'Richard Thomson' keeps getting in touch, insisting he’s from the Despatch Team of the London County Court. He’s claiming to have £4800 waiting for me! Before I share any personal information, I decided to ask him for his name, phone number, and the location from which he was calling. Curiously, he provided me with the details mentioned earlier.

I'm trying to ascertain whether they've got any involvement with insurance claims. I've been led to believe that a payout is on the horizon, but thus far, all I seem to be doing is forking out cash. They’re now pressing for additional funds, but I’d like to do my due diligence first and verify their legitimacy.
