I just got a call from a bloke who sounded really aggressive, saying there’s a warrant out for me and a legal action about to be started in my name. He told me to ring back this number before the case goes any further and to not ignore it. He even gave me some sort of warrant reference. Honestly, it’s really scary, especially for older folks but anyone really. This kind of thing is absolutely shameful. I really hope something is done to put a stop to it.

Yesterday my sister, who lives by herself, got a call from this number. The message claimed to be from HMRC, saying that there's an arrest warrant out for her, even giving a supposed warrant number! They didn’t even say her name. When I went round to see her, she was obviously quite upset and scared. It’s clearly a scam, but stuff like this can really scare older people living alone.
