This is a total con, National Press Ltd claiming we okayed the work when we never did, we never signed any agreement either. They keep ringing us up, hassling for cash and threatening to send bailiffs round. Don’t give these people a penny. We’ve never had any evidence of work done and will be contacting Action Fraud about this.

Got a call outta the blue from a woman asking if I was registered and said she knew me from the start of the year, but it was the first time I'd ever heard from anyone at that company. She said she was from Safety Educational Media UK Ltd, the ones who supply books to schools. Didn’t even tell me the full price on the call, just mentioned I had a £50 discount, but I had no clue what it was about. I had to call back later just to find out what the full price actually was.

I got this bill for over £330, which is crazy since I can produce the books in good quality for under £50, or even free. I immediately emailed on the same day I got the invoice to cancel it because the office was nearly closed and it was out of hours. I even tried ringing them to sort it out because I wasn’t happy with the price. That’s way too much for poor quality books. When I looked up the company and their phone numbers, I found out I’m not the only one caught out. They seem to be using different names and I’m pretty sure they grabbed my number from a Google business listing.

Just got another bill saying I’m over 20 days late. The reviews here are legit and spot on!!! I’ve reported this to Cyber Crime, TPS, ASDS and trading standards, also let the MET know. Be careful, don’t pay up - you can actually take these people or company to court for harassment and maybe even get some compensation. If they keep ringing, tell em to quit harassing, or better still, call the police!

Safety Educational Media UK Ltd are absolute rogues. We’ve politely asked them to stop calling this 80-year-old, who’s quite vulnerable. Still, they ring him up again and when he says he never ordered any books, they insist they’ve got it all on tape. He’s wise to their nonsense now, especially since they’ve already taken three separate payments, each over £250, from him lately. He’s told them clearly to cease contact, but they just ignore everything he says.

Just like the others, they called saying I agreed to pay £189 for 30 books for a school and now they want the money. The bloke was really pushy and threatening. Within a week of the first call, I got an invoice showing £253 owed. I asked them to email me a recording of the sales call but they refused, saying they’re not legally obliged to share it. TOTAL SCAM, BE WARNED, DON’T FALL FOR IT AND DON’T PAY THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE WHO USE CHILDREN’S EDUCATION TO RIP OFF OTHERS.

One of our team foolishly agreed to send out some flyers for a nearby school. The school got the flyers and thought they were totally unsuitable and bad quality. What a total waste of cash. Now they keep hassling us for more, so much that the staff member got really stressed and ill. AVOID DEALING WITH THEM AT ALL COSTS. They keep threatening and pushing nonstop. Plus, they never follow through. CONSIDER THIS YOUR WARNING. We’ve lost over £500 here. Lesson learned. I’m now taking it to the County Court for breaking the contract.

Don’t fall for these con artists. If you’re getting constant calls from them like I am, I’d suggest saving each of their numbers in a contact and then blocking it. I’ve added all the numbers I’ve come across and would urge others to do this too. Beware of publishing scams. Never hand over any money no matter what threats they throw at you. They often use different Limited company names like National Press Ltd, UK Design and Print Ltd, and Last Media Ltd. The positive reviews on here are usually from the scammers themselves, so best to stay well clear and report them to Action Fraud, Trading Standards, and the Police.

This dodgy lot has been ringing me loads of times every day, insisting I agreed to pay for some books for a nearby school, and now they're threatening to add extra fees every day I don’t pay their bill of £373. I’m definitely telling the police and trading standards about this. It’s the usual scam where they make you believe you’re helping a local school, then suddenly hit you with these charges. I got a call from this lot who acted like we’d spoken before and then suddenly sent me a bill. They’ve been chasing me non stop now and are even threatening to send bailiffs and take me to court if I don’t pay up. I told them it must be a mistake coz I have no contract with them, and even if I did, I never got the chance to cancel or anything. Right after that, the bloke started threatening me straight away. Got a call from 07418351350, said it was Safe Education Media UK about some deal for my firm to sponsor a school nearby. Then, out of nowhere, I got a bill for £399. I got tricked by this too not long ago, lucky I only paid the initial sum on my credit card and was able to get the money back. They hit me when I was in a bad place and I wasn’t thinking straight! Then a couple of days after, they sent me a bill for £733.79. No way am I paying for something I never ordered. Their website had loads of spelling mistakes and was very unprofessional. Feels like just another shady invoicing trick. Total scam. Steer clear and make sure to report them.

Its been nearly a month since they first rang, and I'm still getting calls nearly every day from SEM UK Ltd's so called accounts team, hassling me about paying some invoice they claim is unpaid. These people rang me last month from 02086388271 saying I took part in some scheme last year, which I have no memory of. They sent me a letter saying I owe £226.65. I called them back on the same number and when the bloke asked why I was calling, I said I got an invoice I wasn't paying and wanted to be taken off their list - he just hung up on me!! Be careful, these lot are dodgy.

I saw some school reviews on their site, so I phoned up to confirm. They told me they’d got the books from that company and were quite pleased with them. I also came across their warning about scammers, which was quite eye-opening. They did get in touch with me, and after doing a bit of my own research, I was actually quite impressed.

You can actually have a real, legally enforceable contract just from a spoken agreement, no paperwork needed in most cases. But, there are some exceptions depending on what the contract is about and what’s included in it. Basically, a verbal agreement, or oral contract, means the deal was made without anything written down.

At first I assumed this was a random cold call, but after chatting with them, I realised I’d actually signed up for their safety magazine ages ago and had forgotten all about it. They showed me proof that I had agreed to it, so I apologised for the mix-up and sorted out the payment. The school I chose got their copies, and since then, I haven’t heard a thing. I’ve dealt with dodgy calls from other firms before, so I get why people are wary. But honestly, these folks seem legit, despite what many might think.

The previous review is clearly from the firm who's ripping people off, they keep calling demanding money for things you never signed up to. Saying yes over the phone doesn’t count as a proper contract, so don’t fall for it. Make sure you report them to Action Fraud, loads of others have already done the same.

So this bloke called Duncan has been ringing us loads saying we ordered booklets for our kids school. They even sent us a proforma for the books but we never actually ordered anything. Now we’re getting letters about debts and even bailiffs turning up! When I tell Duncan we didn’t order it, he gets proper nasty and says my boss agreed on the phone. He insists my boss calls him so he can play the recording. But everytime my boss rings back, no one picks up. It’s honestly a mess.

As i said before this is clearly a scam. My husband got lots of calls asking for payment, even gave him a "discount" if he paid straight away. He told Sarah to talk to me coz he doesn't handle bills. I told her ive already reported them to action fraud, she didn’t look shocked. The bank details on the invoice aren’t for a proper bank, it’s a prepaid card. just so you all know, the matthew record (36 years old) responding to the complaints is actually the director of Safety Educational Media UK Ltd (registered 15.11.18) and is the same individual behind the scam. basically, he pretends to be a victim but is the one running the fraud. ignore any messages from him. ive also contacted the company that rents out the ‘hotdesk’ space that sem has at International House to alert them about this.

Firstly, I want to say sorry that you’ve had to go through something so awful. That kind of behaviour is definitely not something we support in any way at my company. We don’t carry out any legal proceedings at all; our work is just about providing educational materials to schools. Sadly, there’s a common scam going around where fraudsters pretend to be legal officials and try to scare people by demanding thousands of pounds straight away.

usually the payment info they provide belongs to a private person rather than a company account (definitely not ours). we've had clients tell us about this and it’s pretty worrying. my business would never get involved in stuff like this. if you check our online shop, you'll see our priciest item is nowhere near the amount they claim you owe. any real legal action through the courts would be properly documented and you’d get an official reference for it.

I got a call from some company called SEM UK Ltd. They sent me a letter saying I owed over £2000 for some kind of safety booklets. The letter even included a password I’d used with a charity before, which made it look real. Turns out it’s a scam. Then I got a call from a bloke named Mark Taylor who claimed to be a high court sheriff, trying to scare me about a £7000 debt. It’s all fake. I’ve reported it to Action Fraud and they know about it. Avoid this number no matter what. The name Matthew Record keeps coming up as the MD of Safety Educational Media UK Ltd. Stay clear!
