I am quite frustrated with receiving phone calls to my residence where nobody speaks when I answer. It is becoming increasingly bothersome. Is there a way for me to prevent these calls? It's worth mentioning that I've made sure to keep my phone number unlisted. Very annoying!

I received two phone calls from people with Asian accents from an accident investigation firm, and the calls happened within a span of 5 minutes. The voice of the first caller was hard to understand, so I asked them who provided them with my telephone number. Unfortunately, the call ended abruptly. During the second call, I kindly informed them that I wasn't interested in their inquiry and requested that my number be removed from their database. Once again, the call suddenly disconnected. It's frustrating to state that I continue to receive these types of calls even though my number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS).

We've been receiving calls from accident investigators claiming they've been informed of an incident involving us. Strangely, they won't disclose any details about who was involved or who made the report. Whenever we clarify that this is a company number, they promptly end the call. This morning alone, we've encountered the same scenario at least ten times. It's quite baffling!

I'm ex-directory too, just like the previous person. When I tried calling that number back, it promptly disconnected. I'm considering adding my landline number to TPS as well, in addition to my mobile.

Why do they persist in calling repeatedly?

A man called Stephen, who had an Indian accent, claimed to work for the Accident Investigation Department. He asked if I was feeling better after my recent accident. However, I haven't been involved in a car accident at all. In fact, it's been four years since I last owned a car! I also want to clarify that my landline number is ex-directory and I never share it with anyone.

How curious it is that a chap claiming to be from Microsoft’s Computer Department is ringing from a UK number - his accent suggests he’s not quite local. He went on about how my Microsoft computer had been compromised and was allegedly being misused. I entertained his spiel for a short while before revealing that I’m an Apple user. Almost immediately, he claimed that I’d be getting a call from the Apple team regarding this hacking issue. It’ll be intriguing to see if they actually follow through with that. Clearly, this whole affair reeks of a scam aimed at pressuring folks into purchasing software or downloading something dubious. Stay vigilant, everyone!

The call centre in Glasgow is an absolute shambles. The staff seem utterly clueless and devoid of basic manners, let alone any reasonable command of the English language, if that’s what one could even call it. I've had numerous conversations regarding my elderly mother, who is quite frail, and time and again I’ve made it clear that these unsolicited calls disrupt her peace. Despite her registration with the Telephone Preference Service, they continue to bombard her with calls. The most recent offender was a so-called advisor named "Sophie"-though I suspect her real name is anything but that. Her grasp of the language was woeful! When I requested to escalate the matter to a supervisor to ensure my mum's number would be removed from their system, she simply hung up on me. Truly disgraceful and unprofessional conduct. It would be a great relief if these people were stripped of their ability to continue operating. It’s an utter disgrace.

It appears that Slater and Gordon may have shared my telephone number, as it is private and no one else should have had it. I have been receiving calls from individuals inquiring about an accident for which I opened a claim with S+G. Could it be possible that they are selling my personal information?

I'm really frustrated with this constant stream of phone calls I keep getting from someone about an accident I had 2 years ago. They always have a foreign accent, and even though it's the same person every time, they claim to have a different name. Despite repeatedly telling them they're scam callers, they completely ignore me and start calling again after a few weeks. Something definitely needs to be done to address this issue and put an end to the calls coming from this number and the people behind it.

I keep receiving repetitive calls, where the caller insists on mentioning an accident that supposedly occurred within the past three years. I want to clarify that I have never been involved in any accident whatsoever. These persistent calls are incredibly bothersome, and it is essential to report them and take appropriate action to prevent further disruptions.

Today at 10:20 AM, I received a phone call from a number claiming to have obtained my address and phone number regarding an accident. I quickly dismissed their claims, expressing my disbelief and hanging up on them. Admittedly, the caller happened to be a woman with an Asian accent, and perhaps I should have employed more polite language. Nonetheless, such calls tend to instantly sour my mood, causing me to revert to the coarse language commonly used by men of my generation who have military experience.

A certain numbers I received, which prompted me to answer the call with a simple "hello." To my surprise, no response was heard from the other end. Deciding not to prolong the call, I left the phone off the hook, making their call duration their own responsibility instead of burdening me with it.

I find these...
A man rang me from what appeared to be a busy call centre.
He had a clear Far East accent with a touch of American dialect, but introduced himself as 'Matthew'.

He inquired about my well-being and mentioned that he was calling about a recent accident of mine.
I replied... I was perfectly fine and thanked him for asking.
Then, I mentioned that the weather was fantastic and asked how it was for him.

He abruptly ended the call.

He he.

Mission accomplished!<br/>
