Got a call from a private number that kept buzzing me constantly - number shown as 020 0763 2927. Quite annoying!

While I was out at work today, my other half got a call from these scammers pretending to be Openreach. They kept her chatting for more than an hour, running fake checks on our phone line. Then they said we were owed £285 in compensation. The worst part was when they tried to get her to access her online banking with them controlling the computer remotely. It seemed legit at first, but by that stage it was clear they were up to no good. Naturally, my partner didn’t go along with it and reported the whole thing to BT straight away.

I got a call from this number and the person claimed to be with BT. They mentioned my name and said an engineer had been out yesterday. Then they started telling me my internet speed was off and wanted me to access my computer. Seemed dodgy to me.
