I received numerous calls from a number set to private - the digits were 020 0763 2927.

Today, whilst I was at work, my partner found herself on the receiving end of a rather dodgy phone call from a group of scammers. They led her to believe they were from Openreach and kept her on the line for an exasperating hour. After running some shady line "diagnostics," they audaciously claimed we were entitled to a compensation of £285. Their next move was even more outrageous-they attempted to get her to log into her online banking while under remote supervision. Initially, they seemed quite convincing as representatives of Openreach, but their tactics quickly revealed their true intentions as inappropriate and downright questionable. Thankfully, my partner didn't entertain their nonsense any further and promptly reported the incident to BT.

I received a call from this number with a chap claiming to be from BT. He surprisingly knew my name and mentioned that a BT technician had visited the day before. Then he went on about how my broadband speed was apparently incorrect and urged me to hop onto my computer. Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!
