Got a call the other day where the person claimed, “You’re being investigated for tax evasion - please stay on the line to listen.” Bit worrying, but seems like just another scam.

I didn’t know the number so I just let it keep ringing, hoping they’d drop a voicemail, but nope, nothing came through. After reading others’ experiences with this number, I’m seriously wary now and have decided to block it automatically.

Got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC, told me to press 1 for info. They said if I didn’t hit 4, they’d send a warrant to arrest me. I just hung up straight away.
