I got a call with a recorded voice saying my name was linked to some HMRC tax scam and to press 1 to talk to someone. When I pressed, an American accent answered asking how they could help. I told him he was the one who called me, but he said no, that was just a message. I asked where he was calling from and he said London. Then I asked who he was and suddenly he hung up on me. Some folks might fall for this but it’s a blatant scam. I don't usually trust these calls but I felt like having a word with them to show I’m not messing about.

I got a dodgy automated message saying there’s some HMRC tax fraud case against me and that I’d end up in jail if I didn’t put in my info. Total scam, don’t fall for it.
