I received a call from someone claiming to be conducting a survey. I made it clear that I wasn’t interested in answering any questions and asked them to cease calling me. Yet, to my annoyance, they just hung up and then bombarded me with six silent calls one after the other, each ringing just a minute apart! What a bother!

Got a call from an Asian guy today who already had my name and address. I asked him what company he was from and how he got my details, plus told him my number is on the TPS list. Just as I was speaking, the call suddenly dropped. Pretty strange!

Got a call asking for a Mrs with the wrong first name. I calmly told them no-one by that name lives here - we've had this number for almost 50 years now, ever since we got the line installed. Then this bloke goes, “Are you related to her?” I mean, why would I be if she doesn’t even live here? Next thing, he just lashes out with “f*** off, b**ch”! And yep, he said the full word, no softening it at all. Unbelievable rudeness.

Got a call from an Indian lady wanting to talk to my husband. I said he wasn't around, and she then asked if I was related to him. I told her no, just here as a guest. She was quite polite and apologised for disturbing me. Even so, I don’t think I’d trust her.

Received a call earlier from someone purporting to be from UK Poll or UK Opinion Poll. When I expressed that I wasn't keen on engaging, he ominously suggested that he could make my number public. I was taken aback! When I declined to assist, he warned me that refusing would lead to my number being shared. Quite alarming behaviour!

Received an unsolicited call earlier today, 1st May 2017 at 12:10 pm. A lady with an American twang on the line asked, after a brief pause, "Is this .......?" That slight hesitation indicates it's a call centre situation where the next agent in line answers the call. Usually, I tend to inform them that I do not welcome such calls and hang up promptly.

He switched the time today and phoned in the afternoon, but my missus just ended the call straight away. I reached out to B since the number seemed to be from London, but they said it wasn’t their problem and they couldn’t block it. When I called back, I got this message saying, "the number you dialled isn’t recognised, please try again." I didn’t bother trying any more. This caller is honestly just a complete muppet!

My wife got a call from some bloke from India who said he was gonna add a £50 monthly fee to our phone bill. Then he rang again claiming the service was already running. Total rubbish. I even rang our internet provider to double-check. We’ve blocked the number now but he’s still ringing. Reported it to the Telephone Preference Service as well.

About a fortnight back, I got a call from a firm offering some kind of solution to block nuisance calls for a fee. I turned them down straight away. Got calls from a bloke claiming to be from BT, keeps saying he knows my address and keeps ringing, I reckon about 7 calls in just two days. First time he said his name was John, then suddenly it’s Alex Morris. Honestly, don’t trust this guy, he’s rude as anything and definitely a pain. Don’t hand over any details to him!

Every time he phoned, he refused to say which company he was with - later I found out it was Windsor brokers. Honestly, it got right on my nerves. I confirmed, saying "Yes," but to my astonishment, the caller promptly hung up without uttering another word. It felt quite strange, especially since they seemed to know my name beforehand. The accent was distinctly different from what one would expect, and there was no warm greeting, like a simple "good afternoon." This happened on my landline at precisely 14:23 on 12/04/2017. I appreciate any assistance you can offer!
