So, this woman claiming to be from Amazon rang me up, saying she needed to sort out my Alexa's internet issues. Before I knew it, she had full access to my computer and started mentioning trojans lurking about in my connection. As soon as she launched into a sales spiel, I realised she was trying to fish for my account details and such. They’ve even set up a dodgy Amazon site and a chat service that nearly had me fooled for a bit! If I could just get my hands on her, I’d give her a piece of my mind-what a right cheek! HaHa!

I got a call from a woman speaking with a really strong Asian accent. I struggled to catch what she was saying; the only clear part was when she asked me to “confirm your address.” I told her three times I couldn’t follow what she was saying, then suddenly the call just dropped. I played along, and she subsequently transferred me to her manager, who also had an Indian accent. When I probed about what information they required from me to secure the phone, the manager requested my name, address, sort code, and bank account number. Curious about the offer, I pressed him on the particulars and he quoted me £30 a month for the iPhone 12 Max, which he claimed would be sent to my home. When I asked for their location, he said they were from Carphone Warehouse in London. I quickly realised it was a total scam, so I kept leading them on just to irritate them a bit. I refrained from sharing any of my personal information and ultimately decided to terminate the call. Absolute rubbish!

Upon picking up the phone, I found myself conversing with an Indian gentleman who began rambling on about something to do with the sky. I mistakenly thought he was referring to my partner and said I didn’t have “Sky” (by name), which promptly segued into a spiel about phone providers. I firmly requested that he refrain from calling me again, as he had disturbed me from another number the day before, one which I had since blocked. I reiterated my disinterest and stated, “Please do not ring me again.” He merely replied that he would just send me a text before hanging up.
