I got a call from a woman claiming to be from Amazon, saying they needed to fix my Alexa’s internet. She somehow took over my PC and insisted there were viruses messing with the connection. Then she tried to sell me something, which immediately made me suspicious - I figured she was fishing for my bank details and stuff. They even made a fake Amazon site and chat that threw me off for a bit. If I ever caught her, I’d give her a right telling off - proper cheeky! Haha!

I got a call from a woman speaking with a really strong Asian accent. I struggled to catch what she was saying; the only clear part was when she asked me to “confirm your address.” I told her three times I couldn’t follow what she was saying, then suddenly the call just dropped. I just got a call from a lady with an Indian accent asking if I fancied a new phone. I played along a bit and she then passed me to a guy, also with an Indian accent, who said he was the manager. When I asked what he needed from me to sort out the phone, he asked for my name, address, sort code and account number. Pushed for details on the offer, he said it was £30 a month on direct debit for an iPhone 12 Max, which they'd post to me. They claimed they were from Carphone Warehouse in London, but I knew it was dodgy straight away. I just kept them on the line for a while to mess about and never gave out any info. Eventually, I hung up. Total scam, avoid it!
