I got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse but when I rang their official customer support to check, they told me the Samsung S20 isn’t even being sold now and that Vodafone was never involved in their calls. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Got a call off some bloke with an Indian accent saying he was ringing from Carphone Warehouse. He tried to blag about a 40% discount on the iPhone 11 Pro, which is bonkers considering the 12 Pro's been out ages now. I told him to stop calling and to put me on the do not call list, but he had the nerve to ring me back anyway. Proper dodgy.

Received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse, saying they could provide me with a complimentary phone upgrade. They dangled the carrot of unlimited calls, both nationally and internationally, alongside 5G data and limitless texts on the latest iPhone 12-only catch was, I had to disclose the device I’m currently using. They claimed it was all above board, even insisting that my existing contract would be “cancelled” without issue. What a load of nonsense, I thought! Ended the call and promptly blocked the number!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse offering an amazing deal. However, Carphone Warehouse themselves tweeted back in May 2021 saying they never make cold calls. So, this is probably a scam. They even posted something like, “We’ve been told people are saying we cold call, but we want to make it clear we do not.” Seems dodgy to me.
