A few days back, I got a call about some insurance for my washing machine. I asked them to send me the terms and conditions, and they put me through to a supervisor. Even then, when I asked again, they said I’d get the T&Cs only after buying, with 14 days to cancel. I said I’m not interested unless I see the T&Cs upfront, and they just ended the call.

As soon as I figured it was probably a scam, I just hung up. It’s a bit worrying that they already knew where I lived apart from my name.

Got a call earlier, some guy offering a washing machine repair plan. He spoke perfect English but it felt dodgy. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, the guy admitted the machine they were talking about wasn’t even mine. Definitely looks like a scam, watch out!
