A caller identified themselves as being from British Telecom, claiming there was an issue with my internet connection being at risk. I raised my concerns about their legitimacy, only for them to threaten me with a disconnection of my service. This isn't the first time, mind you; I've been receiving those annoying automated calls claiming to be from BT, urging me to press 1 to prevent my internet from being cut off in a day or so, for several months now. It certainly feels like Ofcom could be doing a much better job of tackling this sort of nonsense.
