I can tell you straight up, this isn’t HMRC calling! Don’t stress about the voicemail you got, it’s not a real message from them. Just so you know, legit HMRC lines, even for personal stuff, always start with 03000... never 020. So keep an eye out and don’t trust those numbers.

Had a rather alarming call from a lady's voice claiming there’s some sort of investigation linked to my name regarding tax evasion. Just prior to that, I received a call from a male voice on the number 07310 357347. Quite unnerving, really!

This morning, I received calls from 02031790391 and 07310357347. The first had a woman's voice and the second was a man's. Both were going on about tax evasion and menacingly warned that the police would be heading to my home. As a 73-year-old woman who’s been diligently paying her taxes through my work, this has left me quite rattled. My heart goes out to other elderly folks who might not discern that this is just a ruse. It's really unsettling to think they might fall for such tricks.

Received a rather alarming message today from a chap claiming to be Home Office officer James, ID 523983. He mentioned that I was meant to have a letter delivered by the 3rd of February, but that never happened! It's incredibly unsettling! He also warned me that a police officer might show up at my doorstep. To top it off, he insisted I owe around £5000 in unpaid taxes. What a fright!
