Got a call about some extended warranty for my washing machine, but it’s nearly a decade old and has never had any warranty before. I just told them “sounds like a scam to me!” and they dropped the call straight away. Didn’t even bother arguing.

At about 11 in the morning on 24th May 2021, I picked up a call from this number. There was silence right after I picked up, then after a few seconds, a woman’s voice, which sounded like a recording, just said "Bye" before hanging up. A few days before that, I missed a call from the same number while I was out, so I didn’t answer. I’m pretty sure this number has rung me a few times before too.

A woman said she was ringing about a washing machine warranty for an old house, something from like eight years ago. When I asked which company, she said KAC - which sounded totally made up.
