They alleged that there was a fault with our internet connection and insisted on guiding us through some steps on our computer for a solution. Sensing that it might be a scam, we requested they ring us back at a later time. After doing a 1471 check, the number displayed was 02031548816. However, it turns out there’s no registered subscriber on that line. I attempted to return the call but all I got was an endless ringing tone! How very suspicious indeed!

It's pretty astounding to think that granting remote access allows someone to peer into your files and potentially blackout your screen to carry out their tasks invisibly. Then there’s the risk of sneaky little things like Remote Access Trojans hitching a ride on your device! As for the use of a BT line by VM, it does raise eyebrows, doesn't it?
