This was a total SCAM. Don't answer or talk to them. Today, Thursday 9th December 2021 at about 8:48 in the morning, the number 0203 154 6770 rang our home phone. A man with an Asian accent called my husband by his first name and claimed he was calling from the Postcode Lottery, saying my husband had won a voucher for half-price shopping at any supermarket. My husband didn't respond and the bloke got annoyed and just hung up. Stay cautious!

NHS LOTTERY? More like a load of rubbish. They say you’ve won vouchers to spend at any supermarket, plus discounts for anyone in your family to fly anywhere in Europe over the next year. I received a rather peculiar call from an Asian gentleman claiming to represent the postcode lottery, informing me that I had been chosen for a discount card applicable to grocery shopping and dining experiences. He inquired about my age demographic and then went on to mention a complimentary flight to a villa of my choice. When he requested my email address, I cleverly pointed out that they should already have this information. The call was then handed over to a supervisor, who enthusiastically congratulated me, stating that I would also receive a £399 deposit in my bank account. However, they then insisted on verifying my sort code and account number. I retorted that they ought to have this on file and bid them farewell. I merely entertained their ruse, but do exercise caution with such scammers!

Got a call today, 7th Dec, from a woman with a strong Indian accent who said her name was Lilly and she was from the Postcode Lottery. She told me I’d won some kind of voucher and started asking for my exact age - maybe to check if it was after my birthday or something dodgy like ID theft. I got a call this morning at 7.35 from a guy with an Indian accent claiming I’d won some supermarket vouchers through the postcode lottery. When I asked if he realised how early it was, he said yeah, it’s still early morning! Then he just went and hung up on me!

Some bloke with an Indian accent called, gave a posh English name but I can't quite recall which one. He was saying I'd won some discount card that gives up to half price off in a few stores. Then he said they'd send 1p into my account to "activate" it, and asked me for my bank info. Told him straight up there's no chance he's getting those details (do I look daft or what?). Still, I was happy to keep him chatting a bit, might've messed up his day a little!
