This has got to be a scam. I've gotten this so-called postcode lottery discount card 27 times now, and each time I was like, "Wow, I’m so lucky!" But then I remembered, I actually work for the postcode lottery, and this isn’t even how they normally announce winners. Plus, you’re not allowed to win if you're an employee! (I’m not, by the way, but they’re the ones who started all the fibbing!)

They got all flustered, couldn’t come up with a proper reply, and just dropped the call. Didn’t get to find out exactly what they wanted, but from what I’ve read elsewhere, they probably try to get your bank info (which is weird since they’re supposedly offering a discount, maybe some kind of code). Honestly, if they just cut you off instead of being straight with you, it’s definitely a scam.

I got calls from 02031546768 twice on 2nd October 21, once at 9:15 in the morning and again at 2:37 in the afternoon. I found out the number by ringing 1471. We’re registered with the TPS, so shouldn’t these kinds of calls be traceable and those responsible held accountable? I keep a log of every number that rings me and have been doing so since 2016. I did get rid of older files a while back, but this has been happening for years and absolutely nothing gets done about it.

Right from the start, I had a feeling this was one of those postcode lottery scams. I decided to play along for a bit, but when they started asking me for my bank details, I told them there’s no way I’d share that info. After that, I just hung up and blocked the caller. They also mentioned some sort of restaurant deals and a possible flight for four people to Europe, but I wasn’t buying any of it.
