My wife has been inundated with messages on her landline from some company leaving recorded voicemails, asking her to confirm her identity and then to ring back on a 020 number. We’ve certainly told her to steer clear of that, as it’s likely a scam! If anyone manages to uncover who these people are, do share. Platforms like this are vital for keeping the public informed and secure. Keep up the excellent work!

Is there a method to prevent that number from contacting me through my landline?

I'm a bit in the dark about who's been giving me a call.

Fascinating find, Blob! So it turns out the genuine company address is: FREDRICKSON International Limited, Fifth Floor, 7-10 Chandos Street, London, W1G 9DQ. What’s intriguing is that a few directors seem to have ties with various other enterprises. For instance, there's Jan Lacey affiliated with Homes Caring for Autism Ltd, Roy Frederick Jones connected to both the Bud Flanagan Leukaemia Fund Limited and Jones Taxis Ltd (chuckles), and then we've got Paul William Butler linked to Sulzer (UK) Holdings Limited! Quite the network, isn't it?

Among the various collection agencies out there, this one seems particularly ineffectual, and it’s gained quite the reputation on the Consumer Action Group forums. Fredricksons seems to have a cosy little arrangement with Bryan Carter, an attorney infamous for his dodgy dealings. A quick search of her name or a chat on any UK debt advice platform will reveal a trove of unflattering information about them. Suffice to say, it’s far from favourable.

Earlier today, we received a text that was remarkably similar to the nonsense we’ve seen floating about. It had us quite anxious for a couple of hours until we stumbled upon this forum. I'm truly grateful to everyone for sharing their experiences! 😊 (I've definitely decided against returning their call!)

I received a call from this number earlier today, even though I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Quite annoying, isn't it?

Earlier today, I received a letter from a company addressed to our parents' place. The correspondence lacked any concrete details regarding the nature of the debt or how we might identify it. Consequently, we decided to give them a call to confirm the name and address provided. However, when they asked for our date of birth, we were hesitant to share such personal information over the phone. They then claimed that the conversation couldn't proceed without it, which raised alarm bells for us. To be honest, it just feels rather dodgy.

Received a text message from this company regarding an alleged outstanding balance with Thames Water. Strange, as we’ve already been in touch with a different collections agency concerning the same debt. We’ve decided to sort this matter out directly with Thames Water instead.

Interestingly enough, we received an identical call just moments earlier, and the search engine was rather useful in this instance. We stumbled upon a slew of messages regarding this number, so we've decided to erase it from our records. Truth be told, we wouldn't be inclined to call back anyway; after all, nobody offers anything for free these days!

We received a message from them earlier today as well. Honestly, we've got not the foggiest idea who these individuals are or what their intentions may be. It goes without saying, we shan't be giving them a ring!

We've been inundated with numerous voice messages and a single ring from the same number, supposedly belonging to Thomas Jones. I let them know we were onto them and had their new contact details, and even passed on the number of my local police station. Perhaps they might have received the message by now.

Absolutely, we’re in the same boat! I keep getting calls from this number and the same tiresome message about some Frederickson International reference number. To be honest, I’m quite relieved to just let them ring on by!

I received a call from this number at precisely 9:21 this morning. It felt a bit suspicious, to say the least. I've registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I'm wondering how they got through!

We've been receiving quite a few messages on our landline from Fredericks International, which I must admit, I've frequently brushed off. However, just this morning, we heard the voicemail again on our 1571 answerphone and thought it best to look it up online. That’s when we stumbled upon this site. The voicemail urged us to contact Fredericks International urgently regarding a confidential issue and gave us a reference number. After perusing the reviews here, it's safe to say we shan't be returning their call.

I received a rather cryptic voicemail from this number, advising me to return the call and mention a reference number. They mentioned something about Frederick International relating to a 'personal' issue. I'll admit, it raises a few red flags for me, and I'm wondering if it could be some sort of scam. Has anyone else encountered this? Thoughts, anyone?

After receiving a rather menacing letter from them, we're contemplating giving them a call. Apparently, we’ve racked up around £750 in overdue broadband charges. Now the question is, should we brush them off completely or make an effort to clear this up?

We've been receiving calls from this company multiple times each day, along with text messages urging us to call them back regarding a private issue and to mention a reference number. Our number belongs to a former director, which suggests that they must be generating these texts from a mailing list. To be clear, we don’t have any significant debts that would warrant this kind of follow-up.

We’ve received multiple texts from these individuals urging us to get in touch with them urgently about a confidential issue, accompanied by a reference number. We’ve been ignoring their messages up until now, but it’s becoming quite infuriating! After doing some digging on this site, it appears they’re debt collectors! It’s rather ridiculous, as we don’t have any debts or credit cards at all. We’ve now blocked their number on our phone and would strongly recommend that others steer clear of contacting them. Who knows what kind of trouble or costs might be lurking around the corner!

We’ve been inundated with messages from the number 02031478143, and it appears we have no existing connection to this company. It’s rather frustrating when you simply leave voicemails instead of having the decency to give us a ring for a proper chat. We’d really appreciate it if you could refrain from these calls! We've got more than enough on our plates without having to deal with potential scams aimed at parting us from our cash. Cheers!

I've received a whole heap of messages from these folks urging me to reach out ASAP about some private issue, complete with a reference number. I’ve mostly kept my distance from them, but it's beginning to grate on my nerves!

After doing a bit of digging on this site, I've discovered they're debt collectors! Quite frankly, it’s baffling, as I don’t have any debts or credit cards to my name. I've taken the step to block their number on my phone, and I’d strongly recommend that anyone else steer clear of them. Who knows what sort of charges they might try to spring on you!
