Got a call from a lady with a foreign accent earlier today claiming there was suspicious activity on my internet and she could fix it. She was just about to carry on, when I interrupted, saying gently, “Hey love, why not find yourself a real job?” I was just about to add “instead of trying to con honest people” but before I could finish, she hung up on me.

He claimed it had something to do with my computer, but I told him I don't own one and asked him not to call me back.

I encountered a rather convincing chap named Mike who insisted he could provide some sort of verification. It’s obvious this was just another run-of-the-mill fraud scheme, yet he seemed far more assured and tenacious than the typical scammer. Caution is advised! What I’m really curious about, though, is how these individuals manage to utilise UK landlines for their dodgy dealings without facing any repercussions. It’s baffling!

Got a call from a woman with a strange accent saying she was from tech support, but she never mentioned any company or even called me by my name. I wasn’t having any of it and told her pretty bluntly that I was well aware it was a scam before hanging up. If it had been legit, surely they would have tried to contact me again by now, but nope. This trick is well worn out these days.

Received a call from someone claiming to be Mike, supposedly regarding my computer. When I asked who he wished to speak with, there was nothing but silence on the line. After waiting a moment, I decided to end the call. Clearly, it’s a dodgy scam!

I received a rather dubious call claiming my computer was riddled with viruses. When I inquired about which operating system I had, they were utterly clueless. I decided to end the call, but they promptly rang me back, threatening to disconnect me from the main server, rendering my PC useless. It made me chuckle, honestly! They ended up hanging up on me after my laughter, which was quite amusing.
