Don't ignore it." Then, about twenty minutes after, I got a call from 020 7183 0616 that had basically the same automated message. Just a heads up - it's totally a SCAM, don't bother replying!

Had a call from someone saying they were 'Officer Steve White' from HMRC about some supposed illegal stuff. The bloke had an American or maybe South Asian accent, sounded really threatening and kept insisting I call back on the number they gave me. Honestly, I wouldn't trust this call at all or bother ringing them back!

Got a call from 0203 137 8827 earlier, with a recorded message in an Asian accent claiming it was HMRC telling me I’m being investigated for a crime and to ring them back straight away. I didn’t ring back, of course - it’s clearly a scam. Don’t answer if they call you, best to block or delete the number and report it. Stay away from these dodgy calls!
