i got a call from someone called Mike Smith, but the connection was really bad with a weird 1 second lag, which made me think he was calling from abroad. he asked about a project we were involved in, but when i told him our contracts manager wasn’t around, he gave me a reference number “19397164” and said he was with a company named Glenigan. when i probed for more details on the project, he mentioned working with the government to assess how covid has affected our industry.

I got a call from someone named ‘Ethan’ saying he was from Glenigan, leaving the number 02031373779. He gave a reference code that doesn’t align with any of our current projects here. He was asking about a job supposedly running in our area, but we don’t have anything going on there. The firm he claimed to represent is legit, but the number he called from isn’t their usual one. When we tried calling the official number on their site, they had no clue about any calls made about that non-existent project.

Odd phone calls attempting to fish for personal details. Definitely worth considering blocking this number if they ring again.

I wasn't really able to catch most of what they said, all I got was something about the contracts manager. When I asked them to say it again, they just huffed and sounded annoyed.
