This number called me early on a Sunday but I was still asleep.

I was really waiting for a callback from 111, so when the phone rang the first time I almost picked up, but it was already well past 11.30pm - felt kinda dodgy. In the end, I didn't answer. Part of me wonders if maybe the caller needed help or something... but if it was serious, they should be ringing 999, not me. Got calls in the middle of the night, once about half past three and then again around four. At first, I thought something was wrong with my alarm clock till I caught a woman talking on the line.

Some folks reckon it’s an NHS follow-up, maybe, but I haven’t been in touch with my doctor or any NHS service lately.

Got a call back from this number after using the NHS 111 online service. They rang me from here to follow up, and honestly, it’s legit. They helped me sort an emergency appointment with a dentist. I get that it might be annoying getting calls at odd hours in an emergency, but they said within 12 hours and for me it was just under half an hour. Definitely safe to pick up.

Similar to what others have said, I got calls on both my mobile and landline right before midnight on 27/02/2020. I didn’t pick up and there was no voicemail either, so I’ve just blocked the number. I’d been at my GP for blood tests earlier that same day around 4:30pm, so if it’s about that, they’re seriously speedy! Honestly, what kind of person calls so late at night? Proper silly timing!

Like someone else mentioned, this number is definitely NHS111 or out-of-hours GP service. They go through some sort of checklist and call you no matter what time it is, even if it’s the middle of the night. In my case, a doctor actually came round the next day after lunch to discuss one of my blood test results which was a bit off. That part was really helpful, but getting a call at 3 in the morning? Not so much!
