I got a ring earlier from some bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from the City County Court in London, Despatch or summat. He said his name was Edward Clark and threw a ref number at me. Apparently there’s some local agent who’d deliver a cheque today, gave me the agent’s name as well. Then he starts talking about a payment of £150 due in a week, but only via prepaid iTunes cards. Honestly, sounds like a total load of rubbish - definitely a scam.

This number called me on 26/09/17 claiming there was a cheque for more than £2000 from PPI. Don’t waste your time ringing them back, just block it.

They kept ringing me about 10 times this morning, claiming I had £4800 owed from a paid-off loan. I told them to send me an email with all the information: who they were, what firm the loan linked to, and if I could take the cheque. I also mentioned I’d be checking the company’s legitimacy and contacting the county courts with their info. Of course, no email showed up at all. Seems like a total scam company to me.

Today my mobile rang and a man with an Indian accent said he was ringing from the City County Court in London, from the Despatch department. He claimed he needed to give me a cheque for a PPI claim and asked me to ring him back on 020 312 99371. After looking up the number online I decided not to bother calling - looks like a total scam to me. Avoid it!

Got a ring from this number, some bloke called Alex Carter claiming I've got a cheque for £3,850 waiting. He said a Mr Richard White would bring it to my place. I told him I'd speak to my solicitor first. Alex then gave me an address - 227 The Strand, WC2 A2ll, with a reg number CR2122. He also went on about the Ministry of Justice UK and County Court London. Seemed a bit off to me.

So today I got a call from someone claiming to be with the London County Court about a PPI claim I've supposedly made. They already had all my info and said someone named Mr Richard White would come round to hand over a cheque for £2850. But before that, I had to purchase an iTunes voucher for £150 because apparently they don’t take debit or credit cards. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

I got a phone call from Barclays saying they missold me PPI. Now the London County Court is involved and they're sending me a cheque for £2050 as compensation. But before that, I need to cough up £150 for some iTunes voucher thing. Strange situation!

Today, I got a call from 02031299371. The person claimed I was supposed to receive £9800 but first had to buy £150 worth of iTunes cards to get my cheque. Totally a scam, don’t fall for it!

I just got a call from this number claiming I’m owed £5,000 from PPI. When I asked for their address and postcode, they refused to give any details. Honestly, who do they think I am, some kind of idiot?

Got a call from someone claiming there was an £8500 cheque for mortgage PPI. How on earth did they know my loan amount and which bank I use? Nope, not falling for it, not answering again.

Got a voicemail from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from some financial investment company. He said I could claim about £3000 in PPI from an old mortgage. Didn't feel right so I decided not to ring back. Probably some dodgy scam.

I just had a call asking for £170 fees before I can claim £2800. Happened right after I contacted the ombudsman about PPI. Has anyone else got this kind of call? Seems a bit off to me.

This number called me saying I was due £2800 and that a cheque would be sent out by courier. They said I'd need to pay the courier £150 by card when they got here. Seemed fishy, like they wanted to get my card details and use them fraudulently. I told them I didn’t trust it and hung up. Really pleased I didn’t go along with it.

Some bloke from India called me up saying I was due about £2800 from a PPI claim with TSB. Thing is, he wanted me to sort a £225 iTunes voucher first to prove something to their officer. Sounded fishy to me.

Got a call from a private number saying there’s a cheque ready to be sent to me. Felt fishy straight away. I asked the caller for their details and they just gave me the same number. Looked it up here and realised it’s definitely a scam.

Blatant fraudsters at play here, masquerading as representatives of some fictitious 'County Court London'-a place that just doesn't exist! They had the audacity to ask me to ring them back about a PPI refund, even though I received mine from Halifax nearly four years back. It's all rather ridiculous, isn't it?

One of our elderly mates got suspicious and decided to ring the number back. The bloke on the line introduced himself as Roger James and claimed he was contacting from the London County Court. He said our mate was owed almost £3,000 and even mentioned his previous mortgage company, which made it sound legit. Then he asked for £200 upfront, promising the cash would come through in vouchers like iTunes ones, which our mate had never even heard of before. Total scam. Luckily, before handing over any money, our mate checked in with us first. Definitely keep an eye out for stuff like this!

Seems like a total scam to me, they were telling me to buy iTunes vouchers and then call a number to give them the codes for a payment of £225. They said something about a cheque related to some PPI claim from Capital One and the London courts, but it just didn’t add up at all. Honestly, it set off alarm bells straight away. Plus, I definitely dont have that kind of cash to spare even if it was legit.
