Got a call from a New Zealand number and tracked it down to The Investment Center - pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy scams.

Typical Asian scam, just kept going on and on with their nonsense! Number got blocked straight away. Haha! Now when they ring, there’s no info at all. Had like 8 calls just yesterday! You really can’t win against these. I switched my phone to answer machine mode and turned the ringer off so I could keep track of them. Honestly, I’m quitting Talk Talk soon. Got a couple of calls today from someone with an Asian accent. I checked the caller ID with 1471 after hanging up, and they said they were from TalkTalk. When will these scammers be put to an end? They used to ring from numbers beginning with 00, but now they’ve switched up their game. They're just after your computer info, nothing else.

This number’s phoned me thrice today claiming to be from TalkTalk’s tech team. They ring every day and get pretty cheeky when I tell ’em I’m not with TalkTalk. How come they’re still allowed to bother folks like this? I’m on the telephone preference service, but clearly that doesn’t stop ’em. They must switch their numbers all the time so people don’t recognise them and just answer. Proper annoying situation.

Had a call similar to what others have said here. It started with a lady whose accent was hard to catch, then a bloke called next, and finally another woman who I could actually understand. When I asked her "how can I be sure you really work for TalkTalk?", she said she knew my phone number and my address. She went on about my internet connection, but I told her everything was fine on my side and suggested they might have a fault at their end, then ended the call. When will TalkTalk step up and address this? They're clearly in the middle of all this mess. Maybe sharing these comments will get them moving!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who knew my name, said he was from some "Technical Department," never mentioned TalkTalk, but I reckon it’s one of their dodgy hackers. I pretended to be clueless and then reached for my call blocker, told him I don’t even use a computer now, and blocked the number. The problem is, it only stops that one number and they just keep switching them. At least now they’re using legit UK numbers - before, it was always international lines, and even earlier, weird numbers that my BT phone didn’t even see as proper numbers so couldn’t block. That’s why I got the CPR call blocker, which actually helps. Still, changing numbers all the time means they keep pestering me. Can’t understand why they bother when I’ve called them out as scammers over and over!

Got 7 calls from this number in just 4 hours. The bloke on the phone said he was from TalkTalk and that my internet was having issues. When I said I’d get in touch with proper Customer Service, he claimed only he from the Technical team could fix it. I hung up and he kept ringing me back twice more. Definitely a scam.

This morning, I saw this number pop up but had no idea who it was, so I hung up straight away. They rang back twice more without delay, and I ended every call before saying a word. Honestly, why can't anything be done to block these calls? I work from home and get bombarded with at least a dozen calls daily for weeks on end, then they suddenly stop for a bit. This bloke with an Asian accent claimed his last name was Williamson, which I knew was a total fib straight away. When I mentioned I’d report him, he just dared me to do it and threatened to cut off my internet. I didn’t bother arguing and just blocked the number before hanging up.

A lady called me earlier, her accent was thick and nearly impossible to catch what she was saying. The same old story... something about my internet being messed up or whatever. I’ve dealt with tons of these already, so I didn’t hold back and told her exactly how wrong it was to make a living like that. Bet she didn’t care, but it felt good to get it off my chest. Usually, I just humour them and keep the conversation going, making them waste their phone credit, which gives someone else a bit of peace on the other end.

I got a phone call from some blokes claiming to be from "Talk Talk", saying my wifi was hacked and strangers were using my connection. Both callers had thick Asian accents. I just hung up straight away and they rang back right away, sounding really rude and asking why I ended the call. They then started telling me how they could help me get rid of these so-called intruders on my wifi. They wanted me to do some stuff on my laptop but I told them I wasn’t interested in speaking to anyone. It felt like they were fishing for access to hack into my computer. I tried reporting them to the Police Scam line but after being on hold for ages, about 20 minutes, I gave up.

This number rang me up around 12.40pm today, saying they were from TalkTalk, which I've just joined and been having a few issues with. After about a minute, I could tell it was dodgy but I let the call go on anyway. They asked me to open EVENTVWR and check my ‘run’ or something like that. Definitely suspicious!

Just got a call today, 24th January 2017, from some bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from TalkTalk. He claimed there was some dodgy business on my computer and needed to check it out. Things started to feel off when he asked for my bank info. Then he said, "don't talk to any other TalkTalk agents," which honestly set alarm bells ringing in my head. Pretty sure he was a proper scammer!

Got a call from some Asian bloke about problems with my computer. He called me Mr ******, using my wife's maiden name, which we still have listed in the phone book and use on the bills. So obviously they just pulled info from some directory or billing records, they had no clue what my real surname is, even though I've lived at this address for 17 years! Told him to sod off, fair enough.

I got some rude and nasty calls from a bloke speaking with a West Indian accent. When I gave back some of the same attitude, he seemed proper miffed, and even more so when I had a good laugh at him. Sounds like the same crew who do those "your computer's got a problem" scams to me.

Me little one answered the phone and when she said I wasn’t there, the bloke calling himself Harry just went off on us with some rude words. I tried ringing him back to give him a piece of my mind but the line just kept being busy. He had an Indian accent - my kid recognised it as she’s Indian herself.

Got a call about 1:15 in the afternoon, and the bloke on the line had this really odd way of talking, like he was slurping or something.
